Best Cobblestone Farm Minecraft 1.21 - 120,000 Items per Hour

Hi little Kelp! In this video we are going to build a Cobblestone Farm! This farm is really simple to build, because you do not need slimes or sticky pistons! Enjoy!

After reading comments I didn’t believe it could be that fast. So I built it up and afk’ed for an hour and a half and filled 30+ double chest of cobble. I instantly came back here to leave a like a sub and a comment cuz wow this is INSANE for the resources taken to build. 100/10 build

It can be made with far fewer resources and less laggy. Replace the 48 hoppers and chest with 48 open fence gates. Use a row of 9 water source blocks to carry the cobblestone past the opposite end of the farm. The water source blocks only run for 8 blocks, so you need a small step-down to clear the opposite end. Plan the stepdown so that the last bit of water ends on or just before a row of 9 hoppers(1-3 blocks after the source depending on your placement). Run each of the hoppers into a barrel, because barrels do not cause lag. Hoppers and chests do cause lag and are more expensive. This method saves you 195 iron ingots and 561 wood planks(140.25 wood blocks).

Just a heads up for anyone seeing this comment. DO NOT leave this farm on and leave the chunks, the farm will explode. Remember to turn it of before leaving the chunks.

It works well, but with one small problem. The TNT blast radius is an additional two blocks out from the outermost glass block. This will damage players, NPCs, and friendly mobs that get too close while the machine is running. I suggest a cobblestone wall around the whole thing. Two spaces beyond the outermost glass layer is sufficient.

Cool. Another tip is to replace the 48 hoppers & chests with 48 open fence gates so the blocks drop through. Use running water underneath to carry the cobblestone to a row of 9hoppers. Feed the hoppers into barrels because they cause less lag than chests. It is a cheaper and lower lag version.@@RoyBoy_i3c

genuinely an awesome design of a cobble farm.one thing is that on a laggy world, put the locked repeater (on with little strip of what looks to be bedrock) on 3 ticks instead. this fixed my farm on my singleplayer world

Tested on 1.16.5 and works amazingly well! By only testing the machine in around 30 second to 1 minute I got a full inventory worth of cobblestone, tysm for this simple and very good farm!

I Think you could get even more cobblestone out of that farm if you dont use hoppers, but a water system instead, to gather the items more effectivly and the you can also decide where the items are supposed to go. The method i used is simply one row of signs where the hoppers are under the signs you can put water to collect the items and then build your own water system. Hope this idea will help

so I recently built this farm, it took around 10 mins for me to built it, and I tested it and filled 6 DOUBLE CHESTS of cobblestone in only 10 mins, this farm is not only compact, but it also takes only a few materials and I HIGHLY recommend this farm.

To anyone who builds this on multiplayer and has the TNT explode once and then not duplicate, note that Paper servers on Java disable TNT and sand duplication by default. Ask your server admin to open the paper.yml file and set allow-piston-duplication to true.

1.20.2 ERROR WITH FARM ( how to fix ) if you guys have problems with cobblestone not producing when the tnt are dropping, its because the tnt duper is way too fast and the cobblestone dont regenerate fast enough. What you have to do is the repeater that looks weird (with the 2 ticks) make it 4 ticks and it will start working immediately. EDIT : the farm wont make u 120k a hour but itll make around 60k.

Replace the first piston with a sticky piston then set the repeater for the noteblock on 2 ticks. That's what fixed mine. Mckelp pin me to help others with this problem

If you want to use a water flow collecting system, like me, replace all those hoppers with fence gate, so that items can drop through while water and lava won't fall down, and you can build a water collecting system under.

This is a really bad advice. I did it with fences without thinking about it and I only get 30-40k per hour. Because I wanted to know why, I tested it in this world download and with fences a big portion of the item entities gets destroyed by the TNT blast. So the instant pickup by the hoppers is really necessary. But you can rearrange them to make room for a better collection: think of the underside of the farm as a square and divide it in 4 triangles, now put the hoppers in these triangle shape facing outside and have chests all around the base of the farm. Dont know how to describe the layout better.

With my hopper layout I did a quick 5min test and got 9538, so 114.456 per hour. So maybe its not 100% but definitely better than the fence/water collection idea.

I loved your farm so much that I started to build it on the new 'realm' my brother and I share. I immediately began to worry about the lag created by 48 hoppers and 48 chests so close together. I found it was easy to rework the collection system with 57 gates, 9 water source blocks, 9 hoppers, and 9 barrels. It looks like the water system under a skeleton spawner farm, but it feeds into hoppers and barrels instead of a bubble column. The 48 hoppers in this farm are replaced with 48 gates. Perhaps there is a better collection system. I am not an expert. @@KelpMC

I changed a bit up and now it works great in bedrock edition to. The Structure is great I just changed the tnt part and the very bottom where it drops the tnt And only if I read the comments sooner. I left the chunks a few times and it would blow up Found out the part about it blowing up myself

Extend the slabs 5 blocks to the outside and place a leaver on the outside block, then place redstone dust between the lever and the repeater. Make a pile of scaffoldings with a glass block two blocks above it and you have a perfect afk spot without getting hit by the tnt blasts. The collection system sucks a bit, but that's easy to change (hoppers to bubble elevators and piling the chests) This farm works like a charm (1.21 java). Thanks for the clear tutorial Kelp!

Built in vanilla 1.21, farm works as intended. Make sure to turn off the tnt duper when you're leaving because it will blow itself up when you load the chunks again. If the duper doesn't work or the tnt is not breaking blocks, it may be server related. Check if duping is enabled etc

I built this in multiple times in 1.20.6. It's working fine for about 30 minutes, and then it blows itself up. I don't know if the redstone timing is just slightly off, or if lag causes it to blow. Anyone else who had similar issues in the past? This contraption is part of a supersmelter, carpet duper, storage system and I'd appreciate it not rebuilding too many times *cries*

Worked great .... for about 10 seconds. Then the whole thing blew up. It looked like the tnt got stuck somehow or the last one didn't fall fast enough for the one coming next to be far enough down so it wouldn't explode. Well, first it blew up the duper and then the upper part of the build below.

A tip: You can put a cart with a hopper to collect all the chests and send it to some chests or furnaces Work very well

Can confirm, built this with 2 hopper minecarts (i also waterlogged the rails for more efficient unloading of the chests, but i guess it's not strictly neccessary) and ilmango's fast hopper minecart unloader with a dropper elevator to reuse the minecarts and a water stream directly into my storage system. Only remaining problem now is, that my storage system can't keep up with the production rates of this farm.

I had an issue with the tnt exploding too fast but I fixed it by just making the redstone clock a little slower, now I'm getting a lot of cobblestone

@@خروفيخروفيكللهمشتاق sorry took me a while to reply, take the world with the cobble generator and copy it, then in the copy test around with the repeaters that control the tnt blaster, itll take a lot of tests but you'll find one that will give you the perfect timing, hope that helps ☺️☺️

It´s a very good farm, but after a flew minutes testing ..... several times, this only produces about 800 items/minute, so .... in 1 hour produces 48.000 items per hour .... not bad, but not 120.000 .....

Probably you aren't using a good storage system. Hoppers have a limit of transfer per minute

TNT Duper doesn't work. We're on a private server, I've read in comments that some servers seem to fix the glitch, we didn't do anything about it though, why won't the tnt dupe ?
