Most people will do one or two things to be more environmentally conscious. There will be things I could judge a lot of people on for not doing and they do things I don't. I do carry a personal cup for coffee but I still use plastic at the grocery store, for example. And I'm guessing that it's the same with you. You probably aren't doing everything you can either. The point is to do what you can. Any effort is appreciated.

If you are in Virginia I’d highly recommend doing a thrifting road trip down to North Carolina. I always went to the Raleigh-Durham area. There’s a lot more vintage pieces and the prices are DIRT CHEAP. Love the videos!

I'm Chinese and to me it can be offensive when other people wear stuff like that because that clothing is usually meant for special occasions like weddings and lunar new year, so when a dominant group is wearing it just for fun (especially when wearing eyeliner/chopsticks in their hair) it can be degrading and kind of take the meaning away.

Sorry but don't you think youre the one demeaning your own culture by referring to your own people or "group" as lesser than white Americans lol. Someone else wearing traditional clothing from another culture shouldn't take away its meaning to you. Unfortunately it’s not all up to me, and I can’t change the fact that asians are a minority group- I can’t change the fact that many of us face injustices every day. This is coming from someone who has personally experienced marginalization because of their culture, someone who’s been made fun of in the past for wearing traditional clothing. When someone with white privilege is wearing that clothing, they are free from facing any form of injustices or marginalization. It’s not their fault, and it doesn’t matter if they’re the nicest, most accepting person. It doesn’t matter if they’ve never been racist towards asians. It’s not up to me, it’s not up to them. We can’t change history. Everyone has different opinions, but one asian person saying white people can wear our traditional clothing doesn’t mean we all feel the same way.

I am also part of a minority group, however that doesn't matter. My race shouldn't and doesn't validate my opinion. White privilege simply is not a thing. White people get made fun of and marginalized too, iv'e watched it happen. It happens quite often but no one acknowledges it. Asian Americans are not oppressed in any way, according statistics Asians are more successful than any of race in America. that's not because of race though, because Asians tend to work harder on average. If Asians were really mistreated or oppressed then they would not be able to succeed so well in this country, I understand you may be made fun of for your culture and that's bad but white people also get made fun of for culture too. My friend is from Scotland and he gets made fun of all the time when he bring his bagpipes to school. People get made fun of no matter what. she may also get made fun of as well, because that happens to white people too.
