Best COMEBACK in Kombat League against BARAKA Player with GERAS - Mortal Kombat 1

Here is a match from Kombat League where I faced an insane Baraka player, he put me down pretty early on but I was able to pull it back and win the set!

Btw, after the time stop freeze 2:10, after doing b12 db3 launch, you can do f24 lao spin into 112 grab. Higher damage and you can choose side by dashing under after Lao spin

You can do that or you can do freeze, f44, db3, back up a bit and into b12, db4, and finishing with 112 for like 328 (if you don’t wanna waste a Lao)

@@bryanbridges6152 Basically when you press forward 2 when they are frozen the moment you press back forward 1 after it you want press for kung lao assist quickly so lau grabs geras before he gets to do the second part of back forward 1. just keep doing it you will begin to get the timing then it becomes quite easy.but you want to hold the assist button which allows you to perform an attack out of the teleport allowing you to do the loop again.It becomes easy once you get it down.

I just hit Demi-god rank. And I’m curious I’ve played a ton with geras how do you deal with characters like baraka and katana. I just get eaten up when I try to press buttons and geras down 1 is so stubby I can’t even jab in between their strings half the time. It’s just so hard to stop pressure with geras😭

Don’t know too much about Geras but interested. What exactly do the charges do and how do they apply in combat?

once at 3 charges you can input the special and geras will time stop the opponent then teleport to them ( you can use this anywhere on the screen even full screen) or you can meter burn and geras will reverse back in time for couple seconds (this is used like a combo break. he will also regain health)

It takes a lot of practice. There is a tutorial combo for geras that includes the Lao cameo teleport mid combo that can teach you

El combo requiere mucha práctica, porque es un timing muy justo. Pero cuando usas el timestop (← →■) usas el kameo neutro, y Geras no hace el 2do ataque del timestop, por ende podes seguir el combo. (lo expliqué de la mejor manera posible, pero realmente es muy dificil el combo)

Unblocking mechanic makes them punishable due to being an overhead.

What the other guy meant was if you use upblock you can punish jump ins…the game tells you this in the tutorial I believe
