Except the Donner doesn't have an attack control... It has fixed attack. Try reading the knobs.

You're getting more transients with the Donner, hence the attack is slower to kick in. Both are surprisingly decent.

Major point you never addressed is the attack time adjustment fast or slow to retain picking dynamics, which is the major difference between the two circuits

Is the Donner noisy ? I have a Keeley wich bedds a noise compressor, but i need space so i'm looking for a good one wich does not need the noise compressor.

Good channel, liked and subscribed. Thanks for the demo. How is the noise floor on these cheaper compressors? I’m on a tight budget so these pedals are all I can afford at the moment. But I definitely don’t want any more noise to my signal. I’ve got the mxr m300 reverb, an Mxr Duke of tone and 3 JHS pedals, the little black buffer, tidewater tremolo and the 3 series chorus. I had the whitey righty from JHS and liked it a lot but the 9v power input was faulty so I sent it back. Thanks again for the demo, great job too by the way. Just curious if either one of these would work with my setup. Take care

i looked at the Donner...in the EQ detail it says "sounds like" an optical comp ...and it sort of does, but it's a FET, right?, or not? ...the Mooer Yellow comp is actually an optical circuit. the Donner sounds decent though, i guess i would not mind a little FET coloration, because the coloration is not excessive.

The Donner, has an annoying "Flutter", like it's being "Peaked" into "Distortion".
