I think a 10 sens only really works with high fps. People who have a 120Hz+ monitor and have a series x/ ps5 can make better use of a sens that high but for most players on 60 fps, a slightly lower sense would be better.

Right thumb click food. Left d pad plank. Right bucket. Up throwables. Down emote. Get a Xbox controller with mappable buttons under. You can jump with them and don't have to take your thumb of the right stick.

Personally your explanation of wood staying in the radial is both good but bad to me. I totally understand the fact that opening the radial to see what you have argument. However I have wood on the D-pad (on the rare chance I use controller), and then while my pirate is smacking a plank onto the ship, I can just open the radial if I want to check. Having access to wood I think is much more important than to the spyglass. But if you are used to your setup, you can grab wood also as fast as if it were on the D-pad. But for the moments I bilge, I need instant wood. Every millisecond counts.

yea ive tried right on the dpad for it but as you said its the same when you get used it, its even right on the radial dial which feels closer to resembling each other! Also the spyglass coming in clutch for hourglass!

Also while running to the damaged area of the ship if you use your radial dial you dont have to let go of the direction youre running compared to with the D-pad you would have to let go temporarily unless you use your right hand

Off! Sea of thieves has one of the strongest aim assisst in any game I've ever seen! You can dial it down with the settings but it's like aimbot! I've been playing since day one without it the real pirate way! I'll never turn it back on after trying it the original day, it's just not fun!

saying that you HAVE to have a high sense in order compete with pc players is a lie. Sammyr0cks and Jaywillow03 are the two best controller players and they run 7.0-7.5 main sens. I run 8.0 and still roll a lot of pc players. Running 10.0 is fine, just don’t be saying that you have to have it in order to win against better players

I recommend moving jump to R3 or RB and food to A.I have been using the same lunar white Xbox One controller since launch. I had to replace the LB but that’s because I dropped it.

Don't use it, it's way too strong in the game. Turns into aimbot for me. On a serious note if you feel like you need it, adjust it starting low and go fight mobs until you correctly find the right spot for yourself

Sprint is usually L3 for cod same as sot

You can make it automatic on cod so when u push L3 forward to walk it sprint instead, save clicking L3 in all the time to sprint. That's how I break my analog stick all the time lol

Right joystick as jump is weird at first but once you're used to it the movement is infinitely better than A, plus if you need to jump out the way of something on reaction every ms counts and not needing to move your thumb could make all the difference

0:22 "this naturally starts at 60" it says on the bottom that 78 is the default. Just a little funny thing i noticed :D Sea of thieves is very well balanced for controller play imo. A lot of the time decision making is way more inportant than point point precision, and the fact that the game is very close range combat centric makes aiming less of an issue on controller. And for naval i don't think there is any difference between controller and M&Kb at all.
