I have a Kontrol Freaks MID rise button cap on my steering (left) thumb stick. It raises the height of the stick and allows for more “minor adjustments” and smoother transitions. It’s no miracle worker but for the 14$ I love it.

When using L1/R1 for gears, are you using forefinger for gears and middle finger for throttle/brake?

Middle finger throttle/brake fore fingers for gears mostly, sometimes I use forefinger for both 😅

Having pedal controls on L2/R2 is WAY better no matter what. I am forced to use right stick cause my L2 is a little bit broken and it sucks, you just don’t have the same amount of control in corners when you can’t brake and throttle at the same time

Right stick is progressive as well, just hurts my thumb more

Cool idea on l1 r1 shift down and up never thought of that I'm a forza guy so I'm used to square as down shift circle as up shift x for hand brake Too much for me to use to fingers and try to thread the braking and shift at same time I don't play with two fingers on l1 r1 l1 r2 I use my middle fingers only I use l1 r1 as look left look right cuz u just need a quick tap and it's closest there I keep my right thumb on the face buttons never kept both thumbs on the sticks I'm switch to right stick for mfd controls and use the dpad for something I gotta find a nitrous maybe r1 and use upad for change view with rs for mfd

Yh just depends what you're use to. Could end up clawing in a racing game which may be too much of a hassle, just get a wheel at that point 😆

For me using the adaptive trigger for brake snd having brake balance on 5 helps with drifting and handbrake is a personal preference
