I have a relatively new compact 70 that was with the house I just bought. It doesn't seem to be that efficient at removing moisture. Over an 8 hr period it only removed 3 quarts of water keeping the room at around 45 to 50% humidity. I had a Friedrich 70 pint running in an adjacent area and it removed just over 6 quarts in the same time, keeping the space at the same 45-50% levels as the Santa Fe. When I get a chance I'll run them side by side for a fairer comparison, but so far, it doesn't seem to produce much water for the amount of time it runs.

Has anyone tested this to see on average how many watts it uses set around 50% RH with fan on?

It's been running for the past 4 hrs. Still not a drop of water has drained out, Its on Auto. Is this normal?

It's not working..doing what mine did, after 3x back, the original cost of the unit and shipping I'm done with them. JUNK! Mind you my unit probably runs 12hrs total/year...and it still didn't last. Cutting my losses. See my comment below

My SantaFe Compact 70 just died at 3 1/2 years old. Six year warranty is worthless because after 2 years it only covers parts and the labor to fix would cost more than a new unit. Also, tried calling SantaFe for warranty info repeatedly and all I got was a message that all of their agents were tied up and I should try messaging them, which I did. Their helpful response was to try and find someone to fix it.

Made in America, but with Chinese parts, got one today and says made in china on the compressor.
