It's pretty wild that the deck of cards took more pressure to explode than the glass sphere
@timengineman2nd714 Жыл бұрын
The pressure builds up heat, which covered the ice into moisture, then steam. Since the steam (expands around 55,000 times in volume) couldn't go up or down, it went sideways! Basically same thing with the cards and paper, but I would guess it would have been instantaneous combustion, which once again, means violent expansion due to limited directions it could expand in!

Some of the most explosive things tend to also be higher oh the mohs scratching scale I presume as well Because from I learned the harder it is for something to deform or be scratched the more brittle and structure it needs So something like glass will explode entirely even if most of it isn’t even being crushed while play dough will just slide out of the way easily, So finding hard objects that are flexible too ismdifficult

I had something similar happen in a physics class at school. I mean nowhere near this but it was supposed to be relatively safe. A rod of wrought iron was placed in this holder that heated it up rapidly through burners lined underneath the rod. Once it was hot, it was secured and to demonstrate how 'brittle' it was, the bar would break under the tension when it cooled and became that much smaller. Only, the part that broke came flying out of the aperatus, left a gouge a centimeter deep by 10 cm long across the wooden side of the desk where I'd sat behind out of paranoia. Heard a clang and a thud behind me, the thing got lodged in the wall and they had a hard time getting it out. I freaked out because that could have been my leg lol.

In Finnish, as opposed to English both short and long i-sounds (i as in bit vs. ii as in beat) are qualitatively identical. Of course it would be nice if foreign speakers of English paid more attention to this difference in English, but it is hard to hear if it's not a feature in your own language, much like speakers of, say, Japanese and Chinese have a hard time hearing the difference between the r- and l-sounds of for instance many Indo-European and Uralic (Finno-ugric) languages. -- Greetings from Tampere, Finland, the home town of HPC!

Neighbors check out the broken windows on the shop: "C'mon Kids. Let's play on the other side of the house." PS..Anni's belly laugh is adorable.

Please Crush a Bologna Bottle. They are similar to Prince Rupert Drops and better made to withstand external forces. You can drive a railroad spike into a 4x4 without damaging the bottle. When you put a crystal inSide the bottle it falls apart easily.

That makes no sense. What kind of crystal do you have to put in? What kind of railroad?
