It has one of the best living standard in the world in some of its cities and the country can literally make everything we need to use in life. It also has huge stockpile of gold, minerals and oils in its usable form. The people are organized and has a culture of coming together during disasters. This is why I moved to China from Canada and have lived here for over 22 years.

I love Yunnan! Dali looks heavenly, I would love it. I have been to Lijiang which is gorgeous too but I have still many places to discover in Yunnan. I envy you guys you’re traveling around China. I have been many times in China throughout 20+ years but always feel I haven’t seen enough. One tip: Yunnan coffee is really good. Try their specialty coffee beans. I’m a barista and recommend you to try pour over coffees instead of americano. The flavor notes of filter coffees will elevate your coffee experience.

I just travelled to 大理 2months ago and stayed at 洱海 for 5 days. it is a very pleasant cozy place. honestly, I do not recommend the tourist to visit those popular photo spots like S Bay and Li xiang bang etc. Well~, if you guys want to see an original style of the ancient town, you should go to 巍山古城, where is the ancient capital of South Shao, with non-commercial. Overall, Dali is a nice place worth visiting again! I hope you have a good trip!

The place is known as the best place for a gap year, or someone had a hard time in their lives or relationships, they go there and get healed by the beautiful natural views. Dali has a 50+ kilometer ecological corridor where only walking or cycling is allowed. There are no cars, and it runs along the lake. On the other side, there are numerous cafes and guesthouses.
