"Best day of the week!!" | Beatdown Thursday w/ Keener Program

The Keener program on the Ottawa river is one of the best places in the world for kids to progress their kayaking, due to some of the best features and coaches in the world. I was even a Keener myself for a few years as a kid and I always learned a lot. One of the best things the program does every Thursday, is have the kids surf the biggest features they can, as well as other challenges, which makes them become much more comfortable and better paddlers. It's always an epic time for both the kids and coaches, and is by far the best day of the week on the Ottawa river.

This is where I met little Dane in '93 when I was competing against his dad in the very first Ottawa rodeo. His mom stood on the bank on river right watching all of us practice, with him as an infant. I think he was a couple of months old. I've got some pics of her and him together. We would always tell each other, "If EJ ever has a kid he's gonna be a legitimate monster.." and here you are.

Hey dane-o for your next video could you maybe do a commentairy of your self in green race explaining whitch strokes and draws your using and why, the green race has alot of turns and would help if you told everyone what your doing and why. I say this because i think it would really help everyone understand what they should be doing instead of just letting current take them down the river,plus what better person to learn from then one of the best out there. PLEASE it would really help.O and sick session of beat down thursday, love that you give back well done.

Yes, that's a wonderful idea ! Australia is lacking water, let's build a pipe that connects Canada to Australia ! But because it is a long distance, we would need to build big pumps which could be powered with Canadian hydroelectricity... But wait, no, no hydroelectric power because Canada sends its water... Got a solution ! The pumps could work with the oil from the USA ! Let's start this project, I'm sure that we could grow cabbage around Ayers Rock ! ... There are some local and global issues. Water scarcity is a local one.

golffan nope jus saying rivers because they pump millions of gallons of water into the ocean some of that can be collected like one water truck tank that can be loaded into a water plane and flown to sudan.
