Great video. I stayed 2 nights last September in the Parador de Cuenca right across the footbridge. Food was excellent as were the accommodations. You should have eaten at the parador. They specialize in the food of the region. The footbridge was closed last summer, and I walked from the parador into the old city to see the sights and the contemporary art museum each day. Was not such an easy task for me since at the time I was 70 (now 71). Traveled by train from Madrid. Will again be in Madrid and Spain for 2 weeks in September. Cuenca looks amazing. The best part was the cathedral. I read they began building it in 1196 and was it completed in 1257. You visited such a beautiful historical place, that was built almost a 1000 years ago.

Cuenca and many other cities and villages in the center of Spain… very, very beautiful. Best seasons (in the center): spring and autumn; summer too hot and winter too cold. Apart from monuments, typical buildings and museums you have excellent food there, as in the rest of Spain. Gazpacho: it depends where you go in Spain but, in general, ingredients are tomato, pepper, cucumber, garlic, olive oil and sometimes vinegar. Once it’s done you can put inside ham, boiled egg, onion… whatever you want… it’s very, very nutritious and has no fats. I usually put it in a glass and drink it. Congratulations for the videos… very interesting and very well done!

Cuenca was one of our favorite day trips from Madrid when we lived in Spain! It's such a majestic city with incredible views! When we visited there weren't many tourists, so we had no idea about the Manga tourists! Great video!

Cuenca Wondorfull city. And Altea, Alicante, where the Poet Roy Campbell was converted. Roy Campbell wrote the work "Spain Saved my Soul" and translated into English the work of San Juan de la Cruz (St. John from the Cross?)

Hay que decir que la fachada de la Catedral de Cuenca se derrumbó en los años 50-60 creo? Se reconstruyó como se pudo,pero por dentro es una joya Gótica una maravilla como las Catedrales de Burgos o León

Había una torre que se derrumbo. En 1902 que se llamaba. El Giraldo. De todas formas. Cuenca perdió mucho durante las guerras. Carlistas civil napoleon y la quema de los ingleses.
