Ecoflow Alternator charger has the ability to jump start my car battery from my Ecoflow Max 2 generator. I had to use it twice to jump my battery when I left accessories running overnight since I got it. Good video as more people are turning to these devices. Pretty tough doing this in the winter :-)

I have the Pecron charger. I paid $134 for it with all the cables. I see around 550 watts of charging with it. I can use it with either my Bluetti AC180 or my Pecron E3600lfp.

I also have a Pecron and saw a little over 500 watts into my Delta 2.

Bluetti, so far, since it can be used with multiple generators.

Impressive content, Adventure Gear TV. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I smashed that thumbs up button on your video. Keep up the fantastic work! Your breakdown of the different chargers was incredibly thorough. Have you considered testing how temperature variations impact charging efficiency in different devices?

Great conversation and topic of high interest. I will be studying this for my minivan. I have Bluetti AC180, bought for portability and used 1x as not out in van yet. With a very low fixed bed in the van room is limited for 2 power stations. Thanks for mentioning the other brands, future video on those would be great, will need to research and understand this technology better.

I have the Bluetti Charger 1 and the thought of that Ecoflow charger with it proprietary ports, it wasn’t even a contender for my money. The only issue I have with Charger 1 is that its working altitude is 6,561’, anything above that, and you risk damaging the Charger 1. I confirmed this with Bluetti Support so they know about it.

Please explain how the Charger 1 knows what elevation it is at?
@richardmoore200314 күн бұрын
You’re referring to the Bluetti D40 DC to DC which has that limitation in the specs. That’s not the Charger 1 which is being reviewed in this video.
@Armenian14 күн бұрын
@@richardmoore2003 read the specs. Its documented in black and white from Bluetti.
@Armenian14 күн бұрын
@@richardmoore2003 False. I am referring to Charger 1. Read the manual. Read the specs . you will see it. I also confirmed that this is in fact a limitation of charger 1 from Bluetti Support. They said you can damage the unit if you operate it at elevations above that spec. If you still dont believe me then ask them yourself.

I would caution a lot of these chargers that give 600 watts or better will cook you alternator if it isn’t powerful enough to handle the extra voltage

I'm not for sure what to say about any of them I don't know a lot about them but I am glad that you did this video it teaches me more about this and I'm definitely need to invest in something to keep mine charged because I don't really want to mount solar panels on my vehicle I have portable solar panels for my eco-flow power station I have two 200 Watts

The power output limitation is not on the DC to DC charger, it is mainly related to the alternator output capacity. The starter battery would frustrate to drop (as seen by the battery indicator on dash) IF the charger continuously output excessive power (e.. g >400w). Your Jeep can constantly output 800W , that may be the high capacity of Jeep's alternator

Is there a DC charger compatible with the Jackery 1000?

I have the pecron, which worked great, but I can never reach max output unless I set it at the lowest voltage, 12v. However, that would drain my battery and leave it dead. So, I’ve set it at 12.5v and it worked great. But with a 150a alternator, I average around 280w output. No real complaints. Did I mentioned that manually switching voltage output sucks. I now use the Bluetti. Why? The app: I can go into the app and set it to charge at 12v and I’ve installed the breaker switch under my seat and set it to off when my truck is off. A minor inconvenience in order to get max output of 500w. Another option is to go into the app and turn off charging. Why get ecoflow? So limited to their brand.

Anyone who thinks DC to DC charging is the optimal solution should be aware of it's actual cost. Fuel is not cheap. Water and tear of your engine isn't cheap either. Solar is a far better cost effective solution for the long run. Think it over, implement a solar solution.
