I use Tello in my Cheetah as a back up to my primary broadband service, works great. I also have a Tello SIM in my tablet as a secondary carrier to Verizon and that works great. I love the ability to change Tello plans easily on the go.

Just so ya know, US Mobile has about the same thing, but they also offer sharable data plans that could be very handy for family plans. Pick one of those and share data, then you add more lines for just $8

I did that with my home phone about 5 months ago. Plus I got another number on the home line for FREE. And don't forget the anti-spam and teleblocker service.

US Mobile is similar but has both Verizon and T-Mobile and soon AT&T

Very good. I've heard good thing about them as well.

I wish I had T-Mobile available at my Idaho cabin. All I have is Verizon which is not all that fast. I'm considering getting some external antennas to see if I can get faster data. If I do, I will at least give T-Mobile a try with the external directional antennas. I need the directional antennas for Verizon since its line of sight 10 miles away.

Great job Nate. In my case, won't I lose or have to pay more for TMHI? No more free Netflix, TMO Tuesday, etc. Lots to consider.
@NaterTater5 ай бұрын
Depends on your plans for sure. Bundling can make sense but for us it didn't add up and tello is a huge savings.

Do you stay grandfather in on your rate plan or do they switch your plan with the newer plans they update to.
@NaterTater2 ай бұрын
@prinstonwilliams7289 you are typically grandfathered for a while atleast. Eventually they find ways to convert you or add fees. Like a decade later.

Can this be used in Chester and which plan would u use
@NaterTater5 ай бұрын
It will work and any of the plans, you dont need text or minutes. Just data. Just know that unlimited is only 35GB priority data.

Can you get tablet plans from Tello also?
@NaterTater5 ай бұрын
Data only is basically a tablet plan

@@NaterTater - Does your suggestion of moving from T-Mobile to Tello work with moving a T-Mobile business account to Tello?
@NaterTater4 ай бұрын
Yes, if Tello fits your business needs then you could use it instead.
@jessefields95354 ай бұрын
BEWARE, Tello is ONLY unlimited to 35G, then slowed down to old 2G cell service. It's almost unusable.
@NaterTater4 ай бұрын
Yep, I mention that.
@usasupra234 ай бұрын
Isn’t this far different based on your location in the US? So you should pick based off your region aka state.
@NaterTater4 ай бұрын
MVNO's use the big carrier cell networks. Tello uses t-mobile so if you get tmobile signal then tello will work.
@usasupra234 ай бұрын
@@NaterTater what I meant was if you put both side by side you might get different results or features based off priority to the plan type etc. It is cheaper for a reason but I get your point. Im doing MVNO benchmarking currently in the USA for a French Modem maker and we are seeing many variables thus far. Some of the MVNO I can mention openly is SORACOM, 1NCE, KORE, Wireless Logic
@neponel5 ай бұрын
this is likely a temporary thing. after a month or so they will start "prioritizing" traffic and slowing data down big time.

But they don't support Smart Watches like the Google Pixel Watch 2 LTE so that sucks.
