Moderate or gap it still won't stop the backdoor cuts for me. I almost have to paint sit and try to recover/switch the best I can. Some players are just unstoppable with the backdoor cuts.

All-time dom is broken. It’s literally impossible to win until they adjust the difficulty or release much better players. I can see why you are “waiting until later in the year” to release a how-to for all-time dom . 😂

All-time Dom made me play online, which is something I've rarely done lol I'd rather play the most OP lineup against the sweatiest sweat because at least there is a possibility of them making mistakes. They know what I'm going to do before I do it and can fly from the corners to block anything going to the basket 😂

For some reason L1 doesn't dbl team like it did last year,n I have coach engine off n dbl team on manual.....n 2k keeps switching positions on players I have in,like if I put giannis at 5 n Ben Wallace at 4 they always switch n make Ben 5,n giannis 4 shits so annoying

I've always had the problem for double teaming no matter the year. I feel like whenever you put no help for help defense you can't call for a double team. I've also had the same problems with positions. I haven't seen it recently, but Giannis and Jabari Smith kept getting switched around for me a couple of days ago.

If 2k is automatically moving around your players its because you have your substitution method on ACE. Change that to Fatigue or Rotation

Lemme tell you what I do sorry if i type an essay 🤣 So if you opponent has let's say Derrick rose you know they're main source of scoring with him is gonna be rim running so for on ball moderate is probably the best and for screens going under would be better. However if your opponent has a dame or they're 3 hunting with a player your gonna want to have it likely on tight or smother and go over the screens so they can't shoot a 3. If someone has a Kyle Korver or someone they're just passing to and shooting them your gonna want to smother and deny ball cause all they can do it shoot they ain't finna run by you often. Now if somebody is running a non shooting big like Ben wallace or even ruby giannis cause nobody's consistent, put it on leave them open for off ball and for on ball I topically do gap and go under for screen. Thats the main things I change if you actually read all this then hopefully it helps 😅

It's really all situational. It also depends on your playstyle. If there's a screen, you can just click on and go over the screen yourself. If they aren't shooting off of the screen, you don't need to click on. If you have your off ball defense set to moderate and your opponent is shooting right off of the catch, then you need to switch on and close out. You don't really need to play on ball unless your CPU is getting cooked.
