@@hardline2a innocent people get put in jail all the time, also toby on number of occasions mentioned he didnt think george howard skubb was guilty and he worried about putting innocent men in prison. toby being the scranton strangler makes sense given all the clues and is the most likely candidate out of every office character. his weirdness and odd behaviors are obvious. some people say he is too 'quiet' to be a murderer, but look at irl murderers like ted bundy whom his women victims trusted because he knew how to play a trust worthy character. given toby is constantly bullied at work by michael, fails to approach pam when she was single and overall he is depressed about his life - his divorce, his wife having custody over his daughter, him hating his job - he makes a good strangler candidate. toby being the strangler could be his alter ego letting all the frustration cut loose. he is the only one missing from the watch party broadcast of stranglers chase (this is a stretch, but during flashers attack on phyllis, toby was also missing - maybe it was him as well), during which you can see a car that was shown in the office parking lot in one of episodes - could be toby, but it also could be someone from the office park or just some customer - at that point its impossible to tell. tobys car is never shown so we have another clue to speculate whether it was his car. there is also this mysterious phone call made to toby desk, that didnt go through reception because erin wasnt there, and writers wouldnt just put a random thing like that, plus strangler happens to be heading to the street by the office. the strangler also seems to be striking whenever jim and pam relationship flourishes. most of the clues hint that toby is the strangler, but it might as well be just the writers trolling the audience like when toby goes to prison to visit the strangler. he could be feeling guilty about putting an innocent men in prison due to this jury duty, or he could be feeling guilty because he was the real strangler.
