I bought the LaserMATIC XW 30w recently and everything from setup to use has been extremely simple so far. Everything you have said about it so far seems accurate. The one thing I will say is to me the fan sound isn't a big deal. It can be heard through a hollow core door so if you have someone in the next room they could hear a low hum still. I was expecting it to be a bit worse based off your comments though. I think its valid to point out, but if you have someone in the next room watching TV it won't be distracting for example. I have been 3d printing for 7-8 years now and stepping into this is really simple. Setting this device up is easy enough it really can be recommended to a beginner and with the enclosure and thoughtfulness of everything I think it is probably the best recommendation for people with less experience with this style of machine. At some point I will end up with a CO2 laser so I can do acrylics and other things, but this is so good I might be inclined to get a fiber laser next without wanting to upgrade this for a long time.

Love my ROLY MK2/20. I heard they’re coming out with an IR module, hoping to see that soon. Still hoping for the conveyer for the pass through too.

I agree, had a MX 20/10 for 10 months now. Flawless! The other 2 are backups.

I just upgraded to the atomstack x40 with the extension. I was really going back and forth between the roly and atomsack it was a hard decision

So... lots of folks talk about the fan running all the time. I personally like that feature, though the Mk3 will have an automatic shutoff, which I don't like. I want the fan running all the time when the laser is on because it removes residual odors and keeps the interior from smelling bad. But there is a simple resolve to the fan. Turn off the power! It's just one button!

Oh, not the extraction fan, the one on the laser module. Yeah, it would be crazy to turn off the exhaust fan. :)

Hi, thx for the video Did you experience some advantages from the improved exhaust fan with regards to lens cleaning/maintenance? I mean does a more powerful exhaust fan expand the time between lens cleaning action? Thx
