There is also a problem as with shoes: it feels comfortable when you try it and become uncomfortable after 1 hour of use. Fitment problem is typical for all motorcycle gear

Interesting you bring up shoes. That's a point I made to Charles during the full podcast was how much better barefoot shoes are at showing what size you should get. I bet with some technical help, goggle manufactures could showcase better fitment options on their website. Right now it's all marketing. We need some customer service for fitment.

I have had Scott Prospect, Armega, Racecraft, Leatt 8.5, Oakley Airbrake. I have a lot of fogging problems. Tried vented lenses whenever available, etc. etc. Now I’m wearing the cheapest Leatt 4.5 goggles (no outriggers) with vented lens. Problem went away. Lol. Of course. I think that the goggles with the outriggers actually seal too good to my face and contribute to fogging. The less tight fit of the “cheap” goggles work much better for me in the stop and start forest riding.

Dude, I'm right there with you. The goggles I grab the most for trail riding are my Leatt 4.5's. When I race Enduro or XC I use the Scott Fury's, mainly for the roll-off system. The Leatt 4.5's don't have a roll-off system. I'm glad I started talking about this, because it seems like more riders have the same issue I experienced. Hopefully we help some riders, and save them some money.

Fantastic video with excellent advice! Part and gear distributors need to follow your lead and caution consumers to prioritize goggle seating and fitment to one's unique face and helmet combination in order to decide on a google brand and frame type. Only after determining that should the buyer then consider the various upgrades offered for that google. Keep this type of video coming!

Finally someone who is talking about this!! Great video! I bought expensive Leatt goggles from RMatv and they wouldn’t sit down on my face in my helmet and would still push on my nose. Suffered through a bunch of riding until I had enough. I literally went to my local shop and found my helmet in the new helmet area and took it over to the goggles area and tried on one brand after another including youth models until I found some that actually fit - not perfect but pretty good. They ended up being regular Scott goggles, but it could have been any brand!

@@SeatTime Interestingly enough it turned out to Fly CP helmet with Fly MX pro goggles - so maybe that’s something that might help - same brand may make the goggles have clearance in their own helmets - a place to start…

I got the leatt , and the KLIM ( they are both very trick) and they pinch my nose in my Troy Lee se5, and my fly formula S . I got the Oakley Front Line MX goggles and they fit good.

My 1st gen 100% Accuri fit great inside my Troy Lee helmet. When I got my Fly Formula Carbon they pulled down on my nose restricting my breathing. I dealt with it for a while until I got a pair of 2nd gen 100% Armega. No more issues. Goggle fitment is very much like you say; a combination of helmet, goggles, and face. Solid content. As a side note, I have to give props to Armor Vision. I'm not sponsored, but I put their strip on the new Armegas and they are excellent. They work just as advertised.

I have ran into this lately with some expensive googles I bought , pinch my nose and don’t fit well, I ended up with some Oakley googles/ old school style that are way more comfortable.

I know a few guys who rock the 30$ Oakley's from Amazon due to the stellar fit. We have to remember to step back and try a few different things. Just because it's what we have, doesn't mean it's what we're stuck with.

Someone I was just riding with Sunday was talking about his oakley goggles not fitting well with new fly formula helmet. I've found the Smaller oakley frames have worked for me, but have become expensive. I went back to the scotts fury. I've always been on the lower end of the specturame and goggles have gotten expensive. Never really had a helmet that hindered my fitment. My wife has. I had a lot of HJC helmets and fly formula carbon. the oakleys worked great. Currently the scotts fury is working well with my LS2 subverter.

I just bought a second pair of Scott Fury's! I feel those, and the mid-level Leatt goggles, are working best for me with the Leatt 8.5 helmet. I would like to get the new Fly Formula S helmet since I've been riding on my own a lot more.
