Thanks. I agree on the SKX007. I've had two. I just sold my Seiko Tuna (SBBN007) as I never wore it. Have also bought the steel EcoZilla. I like an uncluttered watch that I can read at a glance. I can't read the complications without glasses!

Hempty Dumpty my friend that was a wonderful review thank you for the very very useful information. I just recently found the citizen Zilla on St Thomas in the Virgin Islands out of watch shop brand new box and everything and it also came with shackles to change the band for 275. So I jumped all over that the Seiko I saw over there this shop had a lot of watches and I did see the old school Seiko and I think he was selling it for 200. So I think I'm going to head back over there and get that also before I leave the islands.

Liking the SKX. Recently got into watch buying and I've started off with the SNZF17 seiko. Love it so far, however three months in the bezel has jammed but with a little more force it moves. So somethings up with that however not the worst problem to have. I like the SKX style however I can't stand that minute hand. Wouldn't mind a Shogun but that's a steep price for me at the moment. Great video, a lot of awesome info. Thanks

Mon 28 .....yup....could not have picked a better date for that Seiko.......I'm convinced that old school watches are better off with old school hands even if they have a "new school" mind.........and vice versa ........new school hands with an old school mind.

Great video I enjoyed it very much! The Invicta would be a cool watch if it weren't so freaking huge omg 😲 I have a sterilized 8926 that gets worn every day in a foundry and mold shop and is holding up very well (seiko movement)

Hey, I'm just getting into watches and I was wondering if you could help me out? Thus far I have never owned a watch, but I do have my first (a G shock) coming in the mail. I want to get something a bit nicer as well. I'm really starting to like divers, but I don't know which to go with. Here is kind of what I am interested in: automatic movement, a tough(ish) kind of look to it (like that first seiko on the brown strap you showed), and the ability to switch the bracelet (?) out with one of those metal mesh looking bracelets and still have it look nice. Does any of that make sense? Also I'm looking to not spend a whole lot. I am still young and can't afford to be spending a fortune. To me ~$100 is about my limit right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Seiko 5 SNZJ19J1 $170-180. Don't know if you can find that aesthetic in an automatic for cheaper. Worth saving up for however. There are other Seiko 5 divers (less tough looking) for closer to $100. Orient also has some good divers in that price range; but they are more classic looking. You can swap bracelets/straps on most watches. Seiko 5's included.

Complete nonsense. I've used the ISO approved SKX007 for almost 5 years, much of it on duty or in the bush. The only watch I own that I'd trust over it would be my G Shock with Atomic Time Keeping.

lmao. considering every single one of these watches except the invicta and fortis are actually ISO certified diving watches, id say you need to STFU and do some learning. As to a quartz dive watch, again, you dont know anything as for example the seiko marinemaster 1000m quartz was tested and held to almost double its 1000m ISO rating and there is a video of it doing so in the actual ocean. imbecile

Good review and love it. I'm new comer diver and just start diving couple years back, not really routine dive. Now I'm looking for suitable dive watch, and I;m interested with the first seiko you show in the video. May I know what is the series?. One more question, what is the meaning of 200 m if watches shows 200 m, May i use it for diving to a 200 m depth ? Some references say that 200 m Suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports and skin diving, not a 200 m depth Cheers

A really good video that sums up the appeal of the Seiko SKX007. It gets some stick from some folk, just because it’s so popular. People mistake build quality for fit and finish. Yes, Seiko get things wrong, like their misaligned chapter rings, but overall, their solidity is up with Rolex.....as this guy alludes to.......if anyone has any doubts, just handle a Seiko SKX on a NATO alongside a Subbie on a NATO.

I like your review and agree, quality first! Also this video convinced me to get the Citizen Eco zilla. And now - I love that watch. I can’t believe I can get that piece for $200, new! Own a steel Ecozilla, had it for 10 yrs, you can remove the outer ring like the titanium, shouldn't be any differance on that between the different models. best watch I ever owned, has taken a lot of beating, still looks like new, pretty lightweight in my opinion, never notice I have it on my wrist, depends if you are a viking or a tiny guy :)

Thank you for the video! Totally agree with you on the SKX. I have some dress watches including high-end ones like omega and longines but i usually pick the SKX007 on its own jubilee bracelet for office days (on formal auits). Many complain about the light jubilee bracelet that comes with the SKX and concider it cheap but it is super light and comfert with the gaps between the bracelet links and I think it adds to the x factor and gives the watch a character of classic sports watch that is now dressy as the submariner is, which makes it special among Seiko divers.

Magnificent1393 SKX007 is the automatic watch (second hand not moving). I've had two, and I wear one every day. (Gave the other to my bro). The SKX is a classic. I've regulated mine (take the caseback off, and slow/speed it up) and it's accurate within a couple of seconds a day. The tools needed cost me under $20.
