Late to the party but have to say this is the single best investment I've made. I've painted doors, dressers, woodwork, lamps, 7' tall cabinets etc and have always gotten a factory finish with the critter. Great product!

I need to paint a nbf 35" five drawer file cabinet. Right now it's blue but I want to paint it red. I was cleaning my shed and found this spray gun. Should I just use home depot spray cans or should I purchase a compressor and use my jar sprayer? Also to clean it I just run thinner after?

I think it's worth using the critter to achieve the best finish. If it's oil based paint then you clean with paint thinner but if it's latex warm soapy water will clean it!

You could definitely do kitchen cabinets with it! I would consider that a small to medium sized job. I consider larger jobs things like painting house siding. I hope that helps!

Im a little late to this but do you remember what type of paint you used? I'm thinking with chalk paint this may need to be thinned first.

Hey Samantha! Its typical latex paint. I didn't thin it at all and the sprayer worked great.

Hello there. Late to the game here but I have a question about the Critter Sprayer. How is the balance of the gun with the paint in the jar when you are spraying? Thanks.

@@CatherineArensberg What I mean is did the spray gun feel comfortable in your hand when you were spraying? Did the mason jar filled with paint make the gun feel heavy and pull downward when you were spraying? It is not a big issue when spraying small projects but a little fatigue can set in on larger projects.

No, I havent - I stick to latex with this sprayer!

The air compressor I used is an 8 gallon compressor.
