Hi RGMG, and thanks a lot for this clever check list. I would just like to add one tip: I had once a problem using an SD card that I previously formatted on my Mac. When introduced in the Spark "he" said nothing ! When I went flying, the video recording button was RED, but never respond to my push… Arrgghhhhh… I only realised the problem when at home, exploring the menus sitting quietly at my desk : The SD card had to be formatted by DJI GO4 ! As soon as I did so, the video red button did respond at once. Have fun !! D'Jack

As a person that loves creating this is a great drone. I would not recommend it for any flying for the first time as I have learned. I would consider this a midgrade. Learning the hand eye coordination on a drone under 200 then upgrade. I was foolish and spent 500 on my first and crashed it in a week because I freaked out and didn't have fully grasp plus flying through screen instead of line of sight. Hubsan 501s is one I wish I would have started off with. Just my opinion. I did subscribe keep on keeping on

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I have a question. I used my Spark for the first time today. I've used two different phones. Galaxy S8 and Sony Xperia Xa1 ultra. I played back the recordings on both phones and the quality is really poor and a bit jumpy. I'm hoping the footage that's on the micro SD card in the Spark will be 1080 and smooth

Had absolutely ZERO hassle from anyone at the hotel or other guests. Flew my Spark all over the place while I was there. Absolutely no issues whatsoever. Strongly recommend you taking you Spark. You won't regret it.

I don't remember the brand name for the SPARK case I have. There are tons of cases out there...as long as it fits all your SPARK gear (blades, batteries, remote, accessories, etc.) there are plenty of options. Though, if your going to travel (Fly) with it you may want to consider a 'hard-shell' case to better protect it. I've used a couple of different cases and don't really have a preference on brand. I have so much hardware (cameras, drones, lens, etc.) my biggest concern is keeping everything organized. So, for me I like to have a case that everything fits into. Just helps me stay organized....hope that helps.

Cool tips! I have heard u can enable collision avoidance on rth from any distance. Maybe there was a firmware update?

I haven't tested myself but all the newest firmware updates are on the DJI web site as well. Though, you should get notified on the DJIGO APP if you need any updates as well. I personally either have 'object avoidance' turned ON or OFF before I launch depending on what I'm doing. The only time I typically turn it off is when I'm flying in a very confined location (like through my car window or through an object). Other than that I leave it ON for the most part.

Hi....I fly over water 'all the time'. Flying over water has never been an issue and I've been doing it for years. Not sure what you've heard but check out any of my videos and you'll see I'm always over water. The only issues I've ever had were 'user error'. For example, I got to close to a concrete pillar and hit it resulting in the quad going into the water. Or flew to close to the water (literally inches) resulting in the quad touching the water and crashing. But, never a fly away! Ever! Hope that helps..

If your in another country your distance may be more limited than mine based on regulations in various countries.

There are several video editing suites out there. I started off using Adobe Premiere Elements (for Windows) and later migrated over to Adobe Premiere Pro CC (Creative Cloud). Others who are Apple IOS users prefer Final Cut Pro.
