Best DPS For SOLO Climbing - Marvel Rivals (Season 0)

Only one I disagree with is Magik. Magik main. She is HYPER dependent on her team. Otherwise, she’s staring at the fight unable to contribute, or just running around solo picking off random kills. Carrying with her requires “sit forward in my chair” energy. So, if a Magik pops off on you, that was pure skill, not inflation.

Can confirm as a Magik player myself (I also run Peni and Cloak 'n' Dagger so I face Magik as well). Magik cannot really initiate the fight cause she just gets cooked despite her Stepping Disc teleport, she needs the fight to begin already with distractions or to spring an ambush, particularly with Darkchilde. Honestly, I feel the high damage she deals is a way to balance out her limitations. She can close the distance, but if she gets bursted right away, she won't get enough shields to live, or to get a pick. Like when I manage to pop off as Magik, goddamn it feels good, because it means I managed to combo and position well enough to survive a counter-attack and carve a bloody mess. When I see a Magik shred the team I go "Ya know what? Deserved. GGs"

I agree. Magic needs chaos to thrive. I teamed up with a good Magik and pocketed her as Mantis and she went crazy. But she can’t frontline or effectively dive without some type of support unlike Panther, Spider-Man, Iron Fist. But if she does get it, she can stay in the fight and raise pure hell….😂😂

Thats most dps at high levels. Grouping is the way to play the game at a high level so pretty much every dps needs help initiating unless they can jusr spam some kind of dash.

The true answer is that no dps is good for solo climb, the ability to go dps without fucking up the team comp is so rare that it's not even worth mentioning. God knows the 3 dps mains that haven't played a single other class ain't switching.

Lmao, exactly. I started trying to just play who I wanted (i really like punisher) but its impossible because of the 3 guys on the team that will instalock dps and we're pretty much guranteed to lose. I switched to playing healer and i climbed to gold really easy.

I most likely will keep being tank/support, but if there was ever a dps character I'd main, it'd be Magik because I'm a fg player and there's a saying that "if you play fgs, you can't aim to save your life" and BOY am I proving that so right it hurts 😂 I've finding some success with Psylocke too but she requires more focus from me in comparison.

Winter Soldier is strong but it takes skill to be good with him. He has terrible matchups from hit scans to some divers. If anything should be nerfed in his kit it would be maybe his ultimate. But the better the lobby the less impactful it becomes.

Fyi Hela does have fall off dmg after 25m although it's not as big as other dps

I feel there isn't enough to notice the DMG decrease (like Hawkeye), that's why I say there is none. It's even less noticeable if you're landing your headshots (which happens considerably more at higher ranks). But you're absolutely right, there *technically* is DMG fall off for Hela.

Storm isn't horrible she's just in a weird area where you want to be close to the action so you don't get damage drop off but your so slow even when using the speed boost.

Is it weird that I feel she'd be more suited as a strategist? Like maybe have her tweaked to focus more on team buffs and air pokes but keep her ult because that's one of (probably the only) really good thing about her atm. Maybe that's why she's so weird as a duelist because she's not maneuverable like Iron Man. Idk... But you're right about her playstyle, the only good times I've seen her being utilised is if she's super far and capitalizing on chaos. She seems to be a solid pick in higher elos when ppl ban Hawkeye and Hela.

She does buff damage for your team as long as they are in your cycle. I like her on the convoy maps. She definitely racks up the assists like strategist can

Iron fist melts people health but he doesn’t have actual burst damage. If he had his overall damage lowered but changed to burst damage I think might make him feel strong still but not busted

Hard to agree with u on black panther .. in every game there are high risk high reward characters... black panther is one of them . Missing your dash is not as forgiving as you think .. hitting it is not easy either unless they're sitting ducks.. I spent days practicing to get better and I still haven't mastered everything about the hero .. u can't call it an ego player because God knows I've seen many enemy BP .. and team mates that just feed.

good list, the only one i don't really agree with is iron fist, he's good in like silver to gold but once you hit plat or above the team just ccs him without any coordination needed and he dies, he carries bronze lobbies and quickplay but in my experience in diamond he's straight dog, i have yet to see a good iron fist
