To remove my makeup, the first step for me is the Burt’s Bees cleansing oil. It has argan and coconut oil. It doesn’t irritate my eyes either. Then, I follow up with Garnier micellar water with the blue label (to remove waterproof makeup). Then I use my regular cleanser.

At the drugstores (at least in the U.S.), there’s also Adapalene/Differin which is another type of retinoid. I’m 57 and have been using it for years. It’s done a great job of keeping my skin looking and feeling smooth, elastic, and largely wrinkle-free. Plus, you don’t need a prescription to buy it anymore and it’s a lot less expensive than Tretinoin.
@AllyKit3 жыл бұрын
Yes, and it’s a good place to start if you do plan to try Rx Tretinioin. Also CeraVe has a great retinol, which is a stepping stone to the Differin. Just a thought, for people who are afraid to jump right in to the tequila. Gotta build up a tolerance or you’ll be down for the count too soon 😂
@CeeCee6303 жыл бұрын
@@AllyKit my point is that Adapalene is not necessarily a “good place to start”. It can be its own destination. Tretinoin doesn’t have to be the definitive end point for everyone. I’m just mentioning another retinoid that’s available in drugstores besides retinol and that I found to be very effective for me.

Dominique I’ve got to tell you, you have completely changed my life, and that’s not hyperbole. I suffered from cystic acne for over 3 decades. Then I accidentally stumbled onto your KZbin channel, and learned about Tretinoin/Retinoids. I had never heard of this face cream, ever in my life! I did not know there was prescription acne, and wrinkle medicine! As soon as I saw your video, I got right online and got a prescription sent to my pharmacy. This took me 10 minutes, I ran to the pharmacy as fast as I could, so excited to start this nighttime regimen! This was two months ago, and now my acne is completely gone! I can’t believe it! I’ve never had such clear skin since I was a preteen, 38 years ago! This has given me so much self esteem, so I started wearing makeup again, I was in a depression for the last 10 years. I now go for walks every evening, I’ve been buying new clothes, new makeup, and I feel great! This is all because of YOUR KZbin videos. You really really have changed my life. Thank you so much for sharing your experience, and your knowledge!

Taking make-up off is best with 2 or 3 times wash instead of "wiping and rubbing" it all away... First step is oil of course to break up all the bullet-proof make-up we have these days. For the EYES you use Waterproof Eye MakeupRemover and ever so gently it takes off everything, followed by a Mild Cleanser (any will do really) and the final one is what comes in contact with skin (to actually clean the skin which is very important at night) is something that's perhaps exfoliating or nourishing (Garnier or Neutrogena Hydro Boost are great, really pore cleansing or a bit more expensive but will last forever is Clinique's 2 in 1 PepStart Exfoliating Cleanser [giant tube]. Then a Facial Toner, then perhaps an invigorating Rose Face Mist (from the Turkish shop next door it's only 2 EUR, Bulgarian Rose no alcohol, totally worth it, the scent is divine... then, the Night Skincare Routine can begin. Now the skin is clear!! ♡♡♡ xx..

Partially true, if it’s humid out it’s taking water in from the atmosphere when it starts drying water from your skin is when it’s dry outside, but if you put a moisturizer on top of the hyaluronic acid it seals moisture into your skin even in dry areas.

@@yvettesuburban6397that's exactly what my dermatologist says. She actually recommends hyaluronic acid. My products have it in them and at 44, my skin has never looked better!

It’s so nice that you found products-drug store-at that, that are affordable and actually work! I can’t stand purchasing a moisturizer or sunscreen and when you get ready to put your foundation on, it starts to pill. I don’t like that at all. I’m saving this video for future reference. Another winner Dominique. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dominique, watch your everyday here in Houston! You always look great and I love your wardrobe. On your weekly KZbin videos could you tell us what clinical face treatments you get, such as laser resurfacing, Botox, fillers, etc., and give us the approximate costs and how long each treatment lasts for you. Thank you.

Have you tried the No. 7 skin care line? I would like to know what you think about their products as compared to the products you were using today. Love your new haircut by the way!

Love your tutorials! Wish I could have a one on one. After going thru a hard time with Breast cancer reconstruction and not feeling so great it would be a fabulous lift to at least look somewhat better!

Dominique, your hair cut is darling! The color is fabulous! I tried going with a longer, one length, no bangs look ( as so many women are wearing) I thought it would be fun to go back to my high school days..the longer, parted in the middle or side hair style. However, at my age, 65, this was not a good look for me., My part looked barren, not thick enough with hair, it actually made me look kind of bald on top...even though I have thick hair! I am wanting to go shorter, with layers..something more youthful with a side bang. My face is oval shape, I have very few wrinkles, and take care if my skin...always . I use #7 product line. I purchase the eye cream, serum, day & night creams at Target. I really like it! I use a CeraVe cleanser. Dominique, you are an inspiration to me! Thank you for all you do 💖
