the more complex and fast you play, the more good you look. if you play drums you know that is not the case. most of these are just show offs. the first old man nailed it
@JohnNugroho5 жыл бұрын
Blyat Blyat agree, we must differentiate playing drums for solo showcases like this, vs playing drums for the music/song...sad that most young learners these days are overshadowed by learning all complex techniques but not learning the musical aspects..play music thru drums, not just play complex drumming..
@primoalefosio60555 жыл бұрын
Blyat Blyat excuse me? Why are you judging the others? They were not showing off. They were having fun while expressing like crazy, so, no, that’s not showing off.

Alright, so.. the first old lady plays 16th notes continuously, just moving it around the kit, also has a backing track that hits some cymbals for her the danish girl was legit good, i'm impressed. the bongo guy just plays random bongo stuff over famous songs next guy plays the same basic drum beat over famous songs the little philipino-looking guy is a madman this next little kid thinks that fast=good the little australian boy is on level with the danish girl. i like him so basically: 3 kids that can play drums, and 4 other morons

First guy:very clean, defined hits and pro ghost notes...just personally not a fan of tons of doubles everywhere... sounds good to an audience, but it's just too easy to do. Fourth drummer: decent, can't judge enough, seemed to being focused on getting the audiences support, which is fine, but doesn't do any justice. 5th:Got lessons from a Tommy Aldridge fan for sure, very good, but I didn't see any his personal taste on anything. Always leave a fingerprint. 6th:AWESOME stick control, tempo, ghost notes and clean hits, but I'm once again, the random doubles. 7th:THE BEST, not including the second drummer (the awesome little girl, she's got true natural talent for musicianship.) Good job from everyone though. All better than your average street/KZbin drummer!:)

I mean it's cool I guess, but these are nowhere even close to the best drummers in the world if you want to find them, listen to about any big band/combo from around the '50s or '60s, when bebop became really popular. Some notable drummers are Max Roach, Jo Jones, Art Blakey, or Joe Morello. All of these performances are just playing a bunch of notes as fast as they can, there's not a lot of actual music involved. The best drummers aren't the ones who can play the fastest or the longest, although Buddy Rich was flashy, he never influenced jazz as a whole that much (But his chops will melt the faces off any metal drummer) So yeah, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
@kristofferbach10225 жыл бұрын
But some of them are very young, which is kinda impressing. And yeah, partly agree still, som of them is only popular because people don´t know any better.

To Noah Weing: This is a talent show: Of course, they are not the best of the professionals, but they were excellent and uncanny in their talent and presentation. This is their path to betterment with a shining future ahead. ---------------- How else will they be judged and appraised if not for their high explosive, technical prowess, and dexterity? I understand that you like the ingredients of musical flavored sounds as the R&B/jazz type of pretty chords, pretty-pretty singing, and steady rhythms. -------------------- It is not just the Africans or people of their descent who can relate to their inherent natural rhymic genetics -- the non-African, also, possess polished mechanics, timing and the inner soul of music. -------------- Buddy Rich and Carl Palmer would probably be equivalent in talent. So, yeah, *send me the link to your "Ted Talk" video presentation.*
