I love my Ibexx clutch kit neck snapping out the dig

Informative video. I just ordered the Ibexx stage 2 for my Whalen tuned x3 base. Would love to see your final thoughts if you feel the need to further tune the clutch. I mainly ride trails but like to rip on it occasionally. It’s said that stage 2 is good for both. Looking forward to any other input!

Eric's buggy in this video is Whalen tuned as well. I think he was going for clutch engagement more than anything. I drove it and really liked it. Like he said in the video, his 0-60 time was slower by a half second but suspects he was spinning more. We don't really have any sticky tires to get better traction.

@@dtroff-road5427 Yea, even watching his start it actually felt like it was a tad slower and the tires seamed to bounce a little. But different tires for sure could solve that.

have you received your kit yet and installed it? how do you like it so far?
@mtfrf13 жыл бұрын
@@cboutdoorfun9955 i did have it installed and have only driven it once. Mainly trails. I can’t say I’m noticing MAYBE a slight difference in engagement. Had i not known there’s an aftermarket in it i would say no difference. Id love some more feedback from others on what i should be expecting the difference to be. Since the kit comes with various weights I’m wondering if the tech that did the install could have used other weight options for a noticeable difference

Lol... love the kit and the way it engages now. Feels better and faster, but the dragy says otherwise

What rpm you were running before and after the clutch? You test it in 4wd ? Also a lower engagement will kill the 0-60 but will be beneficial at technical stuffs like rocks crawling
@dtroff-road54273 жыл бұрын
We've ran it a good bit... didn't really catch what the peak RPMs were at WOT but they definitely hold steadier. The biggest difference was the engagement speed. You can really go much slower with full engagement and have a much smoother engagement. No more worries about the real technical crawling being strenuous on the belt

Update on the clutch? Still like it? Did u keep the trail/rock set up? I ride at wellsville also
@dtroff-road54272 жыл бұрын
Clutch kit has had no issues at all. He's been very happy with it. I don't know if it's because of clutching, but he's the only one of us who hasn't smoked a belt in Wellsville. He kept the same setup we started with.

Any further testing on this? What hp is this machine running
@dtroff-road54273 жыл бұрын
This one has the Whalen 170 tune which they say is 170hp at the wheels. As far as measurable testing we haven't done anything, but it's been on the trail and he says the engagement is what he was looking for. I drove it and it's just a much smoother and lower speed engagement than stock. So if you need to creep something it's way less jerky

What was you magnet/weight setup?
@dtroff-road54273 жыл бұрын
I don't really remember off hand but the directions were very clear on that. First time adjusting fly weights and it was pretty easy.

@@dtroff-road5427 yeah i was just wondering if you had used their latest data. I know you said that you set the spring wrap at 45degrees and i dont see that as a recomendation anymore.

@@cboutdoorfun9955 that's interesting... maybe next time we service that clutch we'll revisit the updated instructions. I know Eric's happy with the clutch Performance but if it could be better we'd mess with it
