This movie has been up on youtube for almost 10 years. Almost 1.5M people have viewed it. A Selena Gomez music video from last year already has almost 650M views. I think most people don't care. They have the attitude of "The world sucks, pass me a beer, let's party."

I spent 40 years of my life deep in the belly of this beast know as US Finance and Wall Street. I know the players, I know the game. I can tell you all without ANY reservation, the corruption and greed is far far worse than any of you can imagine. I've always said, if we could instantly take all the corruption out of the US Financial system, there would be nothing left.

@nthperson
@nthperson 5 жыл бұрын
Better yet, let us as citizens lobby for the elimination of elections. We ought to adopt the system of the ancient Greeks: choose our legislators by lottery. Anyone willing to serve takes and passes a civil service examination to confirm competency. Your name goes into the lottery. When an opening occurs someone is chosen to serve one term (four years seems enough), after which the person returns to his or her private life. No campaigns. No fund-raising. Something approaching real democracy.

So long and thanks for all the fish. I certainly do confirm my towels location, as living in Florida does also produce a healthy and slick byproduct of sweat. On the most sarcastic note I can muster: Boy i sure do hope governments worldwide can keep up wishing various miracle solutions into reality while continually printing more money yet telling us all "it's fine, we decided our actions can't be blamed, were gonna claim Heaven's construction as underway cuz hell, ain't like yall working peons have any genuine recourse anyways." All that said but comes out as a very truthful rendition of perhaps a 6 or 7 year old still developing vocabulary and various communication skills. skills. I find myself constantly stunned by how far the absurduty has come from my young/dumb/confident as frig high school years. I had a feeling when my dad and most of my friends dad's back in late 1980's to mid 1990's lost work of a wide variety due to the YOLO SEND THAT ISH OVERSEAS SON! Mentality. I always thought i cannot possibly be seeing the entirety of the situation, in those late 1980's id have been about 6 or 7. Everyone is presented choices that arent really choices, like shopping somewhere other than a Wal-Mart. We could have spent cash somewhere else, but damn if Walmart wasnt selling our own (American specifically, but worldwide decline also) right back to us for seemingly cheap pricing until ya think about just how cheap plastics alone are to manufacture. Literally cheap enough to send something worldwide a few 10s of thousands of miles and still get a Solo cup for ablut $.39 each.

There are some interesting points for sure. The consumer needs to be part of this blame game too. If someone couldn't qualify to buy the $300k house and the Lexus before, why do they think they can after Deregulation. You can blame Clinton, the Banks, the government, Corporations but really some of the finger pointing must be toward the buyer. Sub-prime loans! and ARMs, these products were available but the buyer should have done the due diligence before signing that loan. When a person is struggling to make ends meet in their current situation what would make them think they should look at buying a house that they knew was over their means. The lenders ARE crooked, and are to be blamed too. Education is the answer. Less documentaries pointing to the players, and more about what an Adjustable rate mortgage IS. What is a sub-prime loan and how the terms of such contracts raise the payments over time. Just like in auto industry, lease that Lexus to impress your friends and but later, have a huge Ballon payment or over mileage limit costs at the end and either pay a lot or roll into another lease. This is a lack of consumer education as much as it is any of the big players that is the real issue, IMO.

I believe that the whole world is nearing an economic calamity that will cause billions of people, in the third world to starve. “Ya been had, ya been hoodwinked, ya been bamboozled”. The immortal words of Malcom X. We all share one common enemy. Black, white , brown, yellow, red, etc! The elite one percent turns neighbor against neighbor, brother against brother, community against community. While they systematically rob us blind, oppress us, send us off to die in their wars, force us to conform, and hypnotize us to consume. We must meet the enemy as a people. The only difference between victory and defeat is unity. Put that anger where it belongs.

It is all very well and noble to explain how we got here and suggest self education and selfless acts of heroism will change the world but nothing will ever change if there is not a collective purpose. This was the one thing missing in this otherwise excellent documentary. In a world governed by individualistic ideals and motivations how can mankind ever come together ever again for global change? It is simply impossible. The is only one way things will ever change is to discover the real reason why we exist. Only when we know that can we have purpose an self satisfaction. Thanks to Tom Campbell we now have that reason and as mankind gradually understands this there will be an inevitable paradigm shift on the level of Martin Luther. Since I discovered why we are here my whole life has altered for the better and I have never been more inwardly content. But I beg you, do not believe me. Belief is the enemy. When we "believe" something we essentially put up a wall around ourselves which blocks all new information from getting to us.When we say we "believe" this we are basically saying: "Look, I believe this now so don't come here with any more information because I have all the information I need" - So if new information comes along that could actually help us, we ourselves reject it. This is why I say; don't believe me. Instead one must find for ourselves. If it is not your experience it is not your truth. Check out Tom Campbell and free yourself from perpetual misery of an empty existence. When we hear the truth we know it because we feel it inside. We all have free will. Find out for yourself or not it's your choice.

The dirty secret Libertarians and the "gold bug" people don't want you to know is that finance in the US was a shi* show. There was never enough money in circulation during most of the 19th century with not only market collapses, even when we were on the gold standard, but bank collapses too. How often? A panic literally every 10 years, with a couple more thrown in because of the civil war, the mexican-american war, the spanish colonial war. They don't teach this history because it reveals too many inconvenient facts about how things are paid for in the US. Bankruptcy plays a starring role. So does the federal government. So no, the libertarians don't want you to know about how that worked because they are in love with "markets" even though it's just as vague a noun as "freedom" or "liberty". --when you look at the purchasing power graph at 9:27 it shows the debasement of the $ from 1905-2010. But the funny thing is that 50% of the value lost happened in the first 10 years of the timeline. That's when we started the Federal Reserve. Maybe they learned their lesson in a hurry because it took another 90 years, (90 YEARS!) for it to lose the next 45% of value. Yet the hard currency people are always whining about inflation, even when there wasn't much. --I'm not so keen on the "fate of empires" theory either (8:4). Every age has its own relationship to "pioneering", "conquest" commerce", etc. down to decadence. There are such qualities in very age, it's just there are differences in how people relate to these qualities. I like to point out that people are obsessed with sex all the time, it's just in the pioneer stage they want to repress it, in the conquest and commerce stage they want to regulate it, and in decadence the rules cannot be successfully enforced.

They are proposing way more than just government regulation in a vacuum, mein friend. It actually calls for self-education as a way to break free from apathy. Then it hopes that a more conscious people finally decide that "enough is enough" and reclaim the political power that has always supposed to come from "We the people...". Finally, "We the people.." hopefully would held our elites accountable and end the incestuous relationship between Washington and Wall Street. Only then "We the people..." would be able to enact fair regulations to level the playing field and end the destructive degeneracy brought by money printing.

Fiat currencies are debt based meaning you owe it back to the bank with interest. Remove that from the currency and it becomes more stable and allows us to pay down the national debt instead of the debt being impossible to repay. Imagine borrowing your annual income and having to pay it back each year with interest.,wouldn't take you long to go bankrupt

Dear human fellows, I’m from Bulgaria and watching this video as very other people do around the world that learned the English language and I have a few things to let go… There was a time where the states seemed to be a symbol for a new peaceful future. Most of the people believed in the ideas and unities the USA has created and presented. Then, in the last decades one bad thing after the other is being unraveled or done by cruel politics, hateful decisions and dreadful provocations. I think I speak for most of Europeans when I say, we know what’s going on and who is doing what. We are not stupid. Unfortunately, it was also disappointing to find out that the elites of the state think they can play games with everybody and god knows how long this is actually going on. I pray for you people stuck there with literally the devil and I hope the truth wins one day. There are not much people stuck clear in their heads these days. For sure things that are happening since the WW‘s are real madness and one with more than enough money in they’re bank and not helping others is the craziest person ever. Millionaires, billionaires, trillionaires, who cares? Psychopathic times we live in. I wonder, how this is being studied in 100 years… well done CIA, FBI, WEF, etc

Deyan, you have a very incorrect view of history. The US ("states") has always been a state that promoted violence based on greed. It promotes democracy while being the most anti-democratic power to have existed. Since WW2, the US has created havoc, war and destruction in the world solely to defend its hegemony. Prior to WW2, ie from its founding, the US has been at war, it fought is a culture that promotes violence, murder and destruction for wealth. The Americans fought Britain, Canada, Mexico, they annihilated the native Americans, they invaded and took land from others including the Hawaiians. Americans are supremacists as were the Nazis. They do not care how many people suffer as long as their wealth get wealthier. They have never bee a symbol for a peaceful future, they have always promoted war insisting on destroying any cultures that were different by using force. The US regime, irrespective of being identified as "Democrats" or "Republicans" are moving our world closer to extinction despite their own country approaching decay.

I really, really wonder what might have happened if we hadn't bailed out any of the banks and financial institutions in 2009. I suspect much of what was feared would never have come to fruition. Or, if it had, it would send a message around the world: "No more bailouts!" That alone would drastically reduce the risks of deregulation of the financial industry because it would introduce tangible risks to an industry that isn't confronted with any: the Wall Street banking system. They just get more obscene bonuses. NONE of them ever go to jail.

So the US is stuck because if no new lending occurs, the whole economy melts down, the markets grind to a halt, corporations that employ millions of people won’t make payroll. It’s too late. The Fed has to keep the systemic institutions like big investment banks and corporations that are ingrained in the broken system. If they “fail”, it starts a chain reaction and will cause loss of faith in our system and economic calamity occurs. So I’ve come to the conclusion the US is destined for super inflation at some point. Will we get there slowly or will there be a big “snap” incident that causes it. I feel sorry for my sons. They know not what world they are growing up into that is left behind by their parents’ generations’ failures have left them.

I was a Nurse for 50 years. At the end of the day, I had zero energy to devote to learning about economics. Those of us in the trenches that keep the wheels of progress turning are at a distinct disadvantage at building wealth. I hate balancing my bank statement. I have sufficient for my needs and am debt free. This gives me peace of mind and at 80 I am blissfully content. The scripture says usury is forbidden. If I understand the crux of what you have said, Capitalism creates wealth through usury. I am content in my little corner of the world. I despair for America as it is unrecognizable. Especially with the gender gap. I feel sorry for our youth and the young people that will inherit this disaster. What the Banks have done is criminal and unjust. I have known many wealthy people and they drop their pants to do their business the same as the rest of us. They are the ones laboring under the illusion that their riches somehow elevate them in society, but it is all smoke and mirrors and I would not change places with a single one of them.

Great film! This has some useful information in it - if you have an understanding already of how it (the system) works. I wouldn't say it is executed in a way in which it might be digested easily by the majority - and does not quite lay out the intricacies AND simplicities of the reality. Highly recommended if you already have some insight into the system but I feel that it may be mistaken as something of 'conspiratorial' and undigestible by most people. still, if you are thinking and wanting to understand, this is well worth the time :)

I think generally this statement is true because Jerome Powell has been openly saying to the American people “the savings in Americans bank accounts should run out by September 2023”. The American people hear this statement said quite openly, yet they don’t seem to object to the fact that the person in charge of americas finances WANTS them to run out of money.

@@theboyisnotright6312 I assume you mean quote and not quite. Now see a quote is a copy of a sentence spoken or written by a person word for word. Meaning you are wrong, it is not Henry’s quote. This specific quote belongs to a fictional character named Tyler Durden in the movie Fight Club. Henry Thoreau’s exact words were “We don't own things; things own us.” Now Tyler Durden’s quote and Henry’s quote may have the same idea and meaning to it. But they are not word for word the same. The words repeated in the video are Tyler’s words and not Henry’s. Hence it’s Tyler’s quote. And yes I do agree Henry Thoreau’s book Walden is a great read. I’m sure Tyler is a fan of Henry, but that is not how quotes work. So my advice to you is to know the meaning of what a quote is. Hopefully that will help the rest of that half brain. Have a great day.
