These bikes would be perfect for those who have vertigo (dizziness) and and are unable to ride a regular bike

Exactly. Vertigo is the reason I'd consider a trike.

What I'm looking for is the least amount of moving parts plus customer support. That makes Rad my choice from these three. Don't need the gears. Can get one of their dealers to assemble it for me and keep it maintained. That being said I'm really interested in the upcoming Liberty Trike with 20" wheels. Has mag wheels, is single speed, and can completely incomplete it into two pieces which makes it a lot lighter for transport. Waiting for reviews on it. Just need a grocery getter in a fairly level town.

I tried a trike and they feel really bad because they tip easily. I don't see why you would recommend one that doesn't tilt. Twist throttle is dangerous, especially for an older adult, but I don't hear you mentioning that.

Try sending them a message to see when they plan on making them NY compliant. Most every company is somewhere in the works on that at the moment.

I'm looking for a trike that has a bench for my grandchildren to ride along. Any suggestions?
@XterraforceКүн бұрын
There are a few. Take a look at the Sixthreezero Rickshaw trike. It has a rear bench seat and they recently announced next year they will have a trailer for it with an additional bench seat to take even more people along.

@ElectricBikeReport4 ай бұрын
It's a great trike too. We're in general a fan of shorter diameter tires. 20" is the sweet spot, so the Compass is a smidge high which raises your center of gravity so you have to take corners even slower. It's got a lot of nice components though so if you have the budget it's a good option.

Why would you text the XP on beginner mode. 🤦
@ElectricBikeReport4 ай бұрын
In general, we encourage people to go slower on trikes, and we kinda liked that the XP Trike came that way to be honest.

True, but it's only 2mph faster and importantly makes the PAS levels more differentiated.

I’m more interested about how they are accepted by the community you live in. Riding on a sidewalk or the street . Parking at the grocery store, theft,
@ElectricBikeReportАй бұрын
We have many trike and e-trike riders in our community. We have a network of shared use paths here, so it's not often that we see many on the street, but there are riders who use sidewalks. Theft is hard to plan for, but it seems to be fairly ubiquitous, so we recommend always securing your bike or trike with one or more locks when parking it.

The trike is really very simple, I had a stroke years back (06) and found that I could unpackage and start using the Trike in the same afternoon., only complaint, was the way fed/ex damaged the deliver, however, the e-bike replaced damage pats.

Is there any pros or cons to having both rear wheels driving? Instead of just the front wheel.
@ElectricBikeReportАй бұрын
We've noticed that the front wheels on trikes with front hub motors can spin out at times. There's just better traction when both rear wheels are powered.

Keeping up with all the new models must be difficult. I saw this review, good and informative but I saw another model from another brand that combines many features then adds 250 more watts and twin batteries, OK not twin but dual. Thanks for taking the time to do this work, it matters.

Nice summary, but it seems the 1-3k etrikes are heavier, often 70-150#, than we want to deal with. Would like to see reviews of recumbent trikes (ones with higher seating) such as the Hase Trigo electric (delta style, Hase entry level trike), plus the tadpole Catrike Villager electric (etrike wgt 51#) and it's cousin the Catrike Max (425# wgt capacity; etrike wgt 57#). Yes, these are more expensive, at about 5k, than the usual 1-3k etrikes, but they also weigh 35-40# for nonelectric or 51-57# for electric versions.
