It is indeed a sweet bike, and yeah I think my camera guy claims that he’s “semi-pro” so he’s definitely STEADY AF.

I watched the whole thing and the information was perfect. Not over analyzed with every spec. I'm just shocked you're on a 170 front with 27.5!
@oklahotb32172 жыл бұрын
At 200 lbs, I like bigger stanchions too. I have 140 and 150mm forks at 36 but I think I'd go bigger too if travel got longer for me as well. 34mm at 130 travel get a little wiggly for me in rock gardens.
@JaredRMorgan2 жыл бұрын
I’m glad you agree. Yeah at 170 the 35 stanchions had me feeling sketched out just looking at it, and even if it is just placebo if you feel confident, you ride better.
@JaredRMorgan2 жыл бұрын
That’s also why I got the pike on the izzo. 130 travel fox 34 had a little too much wiggle for my taste. It’s much better suited to be on my wife’s bike. 😁

Thank you bro! I didn’t think it would be, but it’s becoming one of my favorites I’ve owned. I was pessimistic about it since it’s a long boi with small wheels.

If you want another one of those Yakima trays, I'll drop mine off on the way to Bentonville in September. 😂 Great tray, but glad I put a hitch on my GTI and left the roof setup behind. Your stable is sick. I hope you didn't have to sleep on the couch for very long after it arrived. I just put a Pike 130 on my D7 and it made a huge a difference; interesting to hear your thoughts on the Zeb. Not sure I'll ever need that amount of travel as long as I'm exiled in Nebraska, but keep hope alive.
@JaredRMorgan2 жыл бұрын
I will take it!!!! If you’re serious that is lol. My wife actually welcomed the second bike as a good idea…she’s rad. The pike is such a good fork, man. I’d imagine your D7 feels completely different now. As I get to know the zeb more, I’ll talk about it some more. So far so good though.

Nice bike, I’m thinking about the Tyee, but would get the zeb forks too. Which offset does the Tyee take?
@JaredRMorgan2 жыл бұрын
I can’t remember what offset I bought but it was the lowest offset option since the HTA is rather slack. I think it was 37mm if I’m not mistaken. I really love the Tyee!
@mikestivers8302 Жыл бұрын
@@JaredRMorgan 42mm is what Tyee takes per design. 37 will be more stable at high speed, but more squirmy at low speed. so dont go slow lol

How long did it take to get it? I just ordered a few weeks ago with an ETA (from website) of end of Aug.

It took a little longer than quoted on the website. When I ordered in early may, I was quoted late may but got it in the middle of June. Hope this helps! Thanks for stopping by!

@@darrencarter7203 bloody awesome, it gives you so much more confidence although riding to the local which is about 45 min ride away takes a bit more out of me, but off road it really doesn’t feel too draining.

@@darrencarter7203 what you getting?
@darrencarter72032 жыл бұрын
@@carrotman2871 I'm leaning towards the Tyee - partly because they are awesome value for money ... but also because they are 20% off right now (in the US)!!!. But I'm slightly concerned its a little too much travel and rake. If I lean that way, I'd end up with Hugene or YT Jeffsy

How do you like going back to the 27.5 after riding the 29ers.
@JaredRMorgan2 жыл бұрын
I thought it was going to be a dramatic difference and although it is noticeable, I was able to adapt In just a couple rides. Overall I prefer 29’s because they do a better job of not getting hung up on disturbances on the trail like rocks and roots.

How did you get the zeb as fork the only sell it with the Lyrik
@JaredRMorgan2 жыл бұрын
I bought it separate. It's on clearance right now, so once you sell the factory fork you don't come out too bad off!
@sim_dude2 жыл бұрын
how does it pedal ?
@JaredRMorgan2 жыл бұрын
Very well for being a 27.5 bike. The linkage and travel is no penalty to it’s climbing ability. Really only the smaller wheels in my opinion affect it. So if you get the 29er variant you should be more than good.
