Best Engineering Branch's for future. How to choose right branch??

Thanks Sir. But ECE engineering students are also joining IT stream and some companies prefer them as compared to EE as EE being core branch and it's Papers are not meeting market demand for IT&C . My ECE friends are in Railways, BSNL, Airtel, and IT sectors . They are master of electronic circuits and communication fields. Please advise
