Wrong information.There is some importance for these ranking. A good student get placement based on GATE score. So getting good marks in GATE or GRE will give you more placement opportunity than this. Good effort is required to get good score but good placement in Public sector and other Central Government organization Gate score is a must.So don't confuse poor students.

TKM is also there in NIRF ranking.. but you are wrong about TKM 's placements. Placements in TKM is most for Computer Science. Most mechanical, civil, production, chemical etc don't get placed. and even for computer science most students get placed in mass recruiters. Very few big companies go there unlike CET. I personally think Amritha is a very good choice too.. and it is probably a much better choice than TKM or CUSAT..

Not really. To be honest, some of the private colleges in Kerala, like Muthoot and Rajagiri are a lot better run than CET. CET gets the best students in Kerala and apart from that, it is a bit sad. There are plenty of good private colleges outside Kerala that are really good, even though some of them are given unrealistically high NIRF ranking (like VIT). If govt can run CET properly, giving enough funds and proper administration instead of nobody cares attitude, CET can come in top 50 in India. Sadly that's not happening. I studied in CET years back and this is my honest opinion.
