A genuine advice - Ews candidate who have better advanced rank than 1400 should not take lower branches such as metallurgy, biotechnology etc. In other than top 4 IITs as you may have better chances of getting good branches in other IITs or top NITs take that. All the very best.

What a coincidence? I was reading the same just right now. NIRF ranking Criteria - No of students, No of PHD, No of economically weak, No of handicap, Percentage of women. So basically more students, better rank.
