Best English Breakfast in Newcastle? Let's Ask the Locals.

Is black pudding as bad as they say? Only one way to figure out..
Today, I'm asking the locals of Newcastle upon Tyne, or Geordies as they're called, where I can find a traditional English breakfast.
It's not an exotic story by any means (man's search for breakfast), but it's a story just about everyone can relate to: I'm in a new place, and I want to find some decent grub.
Ramble on road rippers.

Grainger Market brekky is awesome lol but I have had many a nice one at Mark Toney, I always used to get them to nearly burn my bacon cos I like that haha - I've been eating there since I was a kid with my parents, over 50 years - only smokers sit outside cos it's loud and busy on that street lol

@@Mistressofthegroove I've loved the Grainger Market since I was a kid back in the 70's when mam used to take me there for a good relaxing walk around looking to see what bargains there were to buy if cheap enough. Great place I still go to every 2 months for to relax taking my time looking around & then getting my meat from the butchers Campbell and Son which is the best butchers in there. 🙂

You asked the wrong people, should've walked 5 minutes down Grey St from the Monument, at the very bottom, where it becomes Dene St , you'll see Queens Cafe on the left & tucked just under the Tyne Bridge , you get any type of breakfast there but their Bellybuster is exactly that, for £6.75 ,(maybe £6.80) you get everything in huge quantities & on a plate much bigger than Mark Tony's

Britain is FULL of chains. The 'Spoons are popular for being cheap, but do not expect quality. That black pudding was way overcooked. It should be lightly crispy on the outside, and creamy in the middle. It's already cooked, as @sdj4112 mentioned. But that breakfast looked fairly decent overall. And you got proper grilled tomatoes (a lot of British places served canned). I haven't had the opportunity to visit Greggs, but they are a favourite chain bakery in Britain. Try them on your next visit. Great content, looking forward to your other videos Zane! ✌

Black Pudding was consumed at a time of austerity and a need to eat everything from the carcass including the blood, it tasted like shit then and the flavour has not enhanced over the years I don't know why it has not gone out of fashion like Tripe, pig's trotters, and cows heel, my Grandfather kept pigs he butchered himself and hens, he brought the hens home from his garden and despatched those clucking fowl in the yard attached to the house he would chop off the a hens leg exposing the tendons and show me how to make the hens foot open and close by pulling on the tendons, hours of fun isn't that better than a X Box.
