Great all the treasures. The X in Xmas is from the Greek alphabet for the letter chi. In the early days of the Christian church, Christians used the symbol X to indicate their membership in the Christian to others. This abbreviation for Christmas has been used for hundreds of years.

I have to laugh I remember it being a HUGE “thing” growing up that people were mad about. I grew up in a rural community and all the conservative radio talk shows were absolutely livid about it. I have a very distinct memory of that from my childhood. 🙄😆

Way2go wow my favorite illustrator book author illustrator Beatrix Potter I love the way she Drew her writings children love her books but then again there's a magazine like I said before remembrance does the same thing brings back all the history I have some pictures but my Dad's and Mom's era just like the pictures you were showing used to take little ponies around for picture taking nobody smile I don't know why really enjoyed this thank you very much

Did you have an 1894 Xmas cover? That was the year our house was built that we are restoring. And this was the couples first Christmas married.

I love ephemera, just wouldn't know what todo with them after I've read, seem, looked or admired them. And I would not want to ruin them creating junk journals or etc.

I store it. Mostly in old scrapbooks. I have a big antique trunk. And the items I don’t keep I sell. I don’t really get bored with it and look at them more than once. I am also really excited to start scanning in pieces to make creative assets out of the items that are out of copyright.

I have realized I have to record the haul videos right away and get stuff put away for my own sanity. Despite the fact that they are actually from a month or more back and stuff sells. But the process really helps keep my home less cluttered.
