This scene always gets me emotional. The part when their mom is pleading to nezeko to save her brother while tearing up gets me so teary.

I always get emotional at that moment as well and that moment, it feels amazing...it was their mother who mentioned in Tanjiro's memories that their family works with fire, and it was her spirit that woke Nezuko up...and then Nezuko used a blood demon art that involved fire

Fun fact: this episode broke the internet back in 2019! It was trending on Twitter for days, it helped the manga sales to the point it briefly outsold One Piece, and became a instant classic moment for anime. Even better the creator herself cried during premier and rewatch the scene 20 more times

yes! I was looking forward to this episode :D this has to be one of my favourite fight scenes in all of anime (probably even across all media). Apparently it made the original manga creator break into tears because they did so well in capturing the emotions and the awesomeness of this scene. It's just the perfect combination of amazing animation, music, sound effects and all the emotional impact of Tanjiro's and Nezuko's past. Both working together to fight such a powerful demon is just so damn cool! Shinobu is really strange and kinda scary with her beautiful and soft appearance but super cold attitude. I'm excited to see more of her soon

Wonderful reaction! You didn’t need to speak at the end to convey what you were feeling! Only a demon slayer sword, sunlight, certain poisons, or Muzan himself can kill a demon. So you will often see them lose limbs or other severe injuries and yet they will not die. It has to be one of the methods above to kill a demon. There’s more about the backstory for these spider demons in the next episode, so I won’t mention it here! But now you know why the “mother” spider demon was afraid of the “son”.

its been almost 4 years since this ep and its still incredible. and its gonna get even better in season 2 regarding the rankings of the 12 demon moons theyre like this : Upper 1, 2 , 3, 4, 5, 6, Lower 1( basically 7th place), lower 2, 3, 4, 5 - spider boy Rui, and lower 6 is the last

Hinokami is basically (Fire or Sun)-God. Basically, since Tanjiro's family worked with fire, making and selling coal, it would make sense that they would do a dance to honor the Kami in charge of Fire in the hopes of safety and prosperity in their work. Ranks of the demons go: Upper 6 (1-6, with 1 generally considered strongest and 6 the weakest but it is more multifaceted than that) then Lower 6 (1-6, with 1 considered strongest and 6 the weakest). Rui is thus the 2 weakest of the 12 Kizuki.

Lower 5 is the 2nd "weakest" of the 12 Kizukis. This is Basically the order from strongest to weakest. Upper 1 Upper 2 Upper 3 Upper 4 Upper 5 Upper 6 Lower 1 Lower 2 Lower 3 Lower 4 Lower 5 Lower 6 Hopefully this helps!

I just watched episode 18 before this and you have some audio static/distortion being caused by your mic or something. It's pretty bad in this videos as well. Please check that out, it makes watching your videos less enjoyable than it should be.

@@luisgomez8635 I have thousands of dollars worth of home theater equipment. If you didn't notice the issue, maybe it's your cheap headphones. Additionally, my comment was only meant to help her make better videos. I'm guessing the other people who noticed the audio issues didn't stick around to watch, let alone comment.

Just as a follow up! You were 100% right. I did notice a little myself but it was only once or twice and I thought it could be a loose wire or something random. However, I did also change how I was recording the episode + my reaction around the same time that these starting popping up. I have sinced rejigged and I haven't noticed any issues since then! I always appreciate people flagging any issues like this - if no one had said anything, I may have left it - so thank you.
