What makes Valentino worse than the other Vees is that if you take away his demonic powers, he's a villain that you could actually fall victim to in the real world. The kind of abuse he forces onto Angel Dust isn't too far off from how real-world pimps treat their employees. It's part of what makes him one of the darkest and most loathsome villains in either Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss. Not even Hell deserves a monster like him.

Hot take: he's perfect for a redemption arc. The options are essentially to have him killed or reformed. If you kill him for being bad, that defeats the purpose of the show. The Exorcists justify their killings of sinners because sinners are bad. To advocate for his death rather than his redemption would be supporting the main antagonists of the show. The whole point is that, instead of killing sinners, the sinners should be redeemed, because killing people is actually a bad thing, that's why we're meant to support Charlie and oppose Adam. Killing Valentino also doesn't allow for as much story potential given he's gone, less to do there Now, imagine he gets redeemed. This reinforces the main point of the show. If even he can be redeemed, your average sinner could too, the hotel isn't entirely pointless. It reinforces not only the main themes, but allows for a lot of potential conflicts in the future, particularly regarding his 70-year relationship with Angel Dust. There's so much potential here, you kill him off and you not only prove the main antagonists right, but you also eliminate a huge way in which they could be proven wrong and severely limit the amount of story potential, leaving the show to slowly die because the writers have run out of ideas

Bruh I really hope Charlie tear Valentino apart all the sexual and emotional abuse he put Angel Dust through, Charlie is actually powerful enough to annihilate that smug prick with no problems but everyone underestimates her too much because she’s too nice despite being the daughter of Lucifer and Lilith. But in honesty that should be Angel Dust’s most deserved kill cuz spiders eat moths and it would be poetic justice if that happened for obvious reasons

I think the issue is Charlie doesn't want to 'play by their rules' by making it a contest of power. Yeah, she COULD simply march up to Valentino and reduce him to a red smear, but that would defeat the whole purpose of what she's up to. Plus, it would put her on the radar of everyone as a potential enemy, and since her entire goal is to be everyone's ally, that's not helpful. She's starkly against the might-makes-right way of thinking, so she'd rather try to win them over with negotiation. Of course, it's always possible that one day Valentino pushes things TOO far in Charlie's presence.

Not only would it hurt Angel Dust, Charlie doesn't seem to like him all that much either after this episode I honestly think redeeming him would be a bad move when hes clearly not regretting anything and continues to be a total asshole to basically everyone, if anything he's like the prime example that not everyone can and should be redeemed that Charlie would need to learn in order to make the Hotel liveable I get she wants to redeem as many sinners as possible, but she needs to also learn that not everyone can be redeemed, especially if they don't regret their sins

I'm sure a not insignificant amount of the people killed in the exterminations are of equal moral character to him or similar. The whole point of the show is that sinners can be redeemed, if this piece of shit can be redeemed, your average sinner probably could too. Killing him off or something would be both incredibly lazy and also a huge missed opportunity, much less to do there

*TRIGGER WARNING!* As someone who can definitely relate to Angeldust in more than a few ways, This episode left me in shambles, I won't lie. Being sexually assaulted/raped is one of the worst things that can ever possibly happen to anyone, and some, myself included, argue even moreso than death. The reactions Angel had to, well. Everything, were so accurate. The inconsolable, raw, rage when he realized he was shot down by someone he actually cares about/is romantically interested in is a tell-tale sign of hypersexuality, a real, trauma-based disorder (which is also what Husk meant by that "act" Angel has) that causes these types of reactions that I, and many other people suffer from due to asswipes like Val - Where you develop the belief that people will ONLY be attracted to you/find you charming if you center your whole personality around that form of gratification. The logic is "Everyone else before them wanted it that badly, so maybe if I hand it out more often, more people will like me". And that whole ordeal with Angie screaming at Charlotte? Again, That suppressed rage. While I've never been high or intoxicated myself, I still do struggle consistently with unhealthy coping mechanisms, and was exposed to those who coped in the ways prior throughout earlier stages of my life. Sometimes I fear that if I had spent more time around those people when I was younger, I would've ended up exactly like Angel. I never realized how heartbreaking it is to watch that happen from a distance, fictional character or someone you know in person. It's even sadder when you realize that Angeldust probably wouldn't have forgiven Charlie so quickly without Husk mentioning Angel's self-destructive behavior/insecurities. Him being able to extend a hand to Angel is what they both deserve at the very LEAST, and that song? Absolutely fucking beautiful. I'm so glad he was there for him. Everyone deserves a friend/romantic partner like that - where you feel like a team, no matter what the past or future may've held/hold for both of you. Someone who truly will not judge you, as they present their failures almost as brazenly as their accomplishments. I strive to be like that for most people I know, and I really hope their relationship continues to develop, they're so good for each other. 💕

Don’t worry, it seems like Husk and Angel are getting along more. They’re going to be in a slow burn relationship where they’ll take things slow and develop feelings for each other over time. The creator confirmed it being slow burn and Angel having a love interest. And I know ppl dont like Angel to have a boyfriend but honestly I don’t understand how he shouldn’t have a guy like Husk. Everyone needs a partner who would treat them well and know that love is genuine. I cannot think of another character that isn’t Husk for Angel. At the same time, I can see Angel help Husk in the long run with his feelings.

Is curious, because i think that the overlords show little more respect than the average sinner. Yes Valentino make that LICK (although, given how sick he is, probably he though that was a compliment), but after that he tried not to blame or upset her and only did it when he knew that angel would defend him. Like he knows how powerful she is and wouldnt mess with her unless he has some leverage. And even Vox is scared of the prospect of Alastor making a deal with her. Meanwhile Katie actually assaults her for a mild insult. Like she didnt know with who she was messing with

I think Charlie's rehab plan either goes to two ways. 1. Sinners are rehabbed into going to heaven is the most unlikely thing to happen 2. HELL itself is rehabilitated to become a place that is more GENUINE and SINCERELY kind than heaven. And heaven and hell essentially "swaps" places.

Does Angel Dust realize that Alastor, whom he sees as my roommate, is stronger than his boss, Valentino, and can get rid of him anytime he mentions that Alastor is the most powerful wizard in Hell 😊

Alastor isn't Angel's friend, though. He's a psychopath, and only his whimful nature makes him even slightly safe to be around at all. Mind: I would definitely like to see some sort of heroic Alastor, and even as a villain character I think he's appealing and great, but only in terms of telling the story (Same as Stella being a horrible villainous creature, but extremely effective at being villainous) (Actually Stella is kind of worse. Her voice actor is adorable, though.)
