People who spend big bucks on bags usually don't care about quality. They care about status. If you have $10,000-100,000 to spend on a quality bag, why not get one custom made at *esluxy* ? Choose your materials, thread, stitch pattern, design, and hardware. Imagine you have a $10,000 bag that's made from $7,000 of quality materials and $3,000 of labor. Currently, you're not paying for the materials, you're paying for the marketing.

The fact these bags can be faked and sold at a fraction of the price just shows how much the luxury brands are ripping people off. Yes quality and materials might not be the same but some dupes are pretty good. I’ve wasted so much money on designer bags and, as a 50 year old, could have bought another house or many *esluxy* with what I’ve spent. My advice is to only buy if you can afford it plus other important things and don’t necessarily turn your nose up at a dupe!

So if you buy from Farfetch does it come standard with a YSL box I know sometimes they just send a dust bag and that's the only thing stopping me from buying from them. I love buying new bags and enjoying the whole unboxing experience because it makes it seem more exciting and luxurious. If it didn't come in a box like straight from YSL I think I would be disappointed and worried about it getting damaged in shipping *condup*

This is so sad because we know LV canvas gets thinner over time but Goyard’s canvas is literally paper thin. Most of their bags are leather lined but for me a big reason to own a coated canvas *esluxy* bag is that it is lightweight and indestructible

I have a Chanel lambskin square pearl bag and a Chanel handbag but my lambskin square petal bag I have worn 2 times and I am very careful but somehow still has small scratches on the leather and the gold on the clasp. I don’t know what happened but I paid over $3,000 for it a few years ago and I am upset that it already has scratches. No one notices now but I notice the price I paid for it. I also have a NoeNoe in DA, but only use it a few times a year in spring and summer, so I don't put too much wear and tear on it. I hope I won't see wear and tear for a while. I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 so I could compare materials, etc. The real brooch costs $800 and is made from the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 backpack replica - also good for comparison - I can't find any differences and still use it in the gym *condup*

I agree about not carrying backpack when i am travelling and am in crowds etc. I will use it on the plane as carryon however. My most recent trip i brought my backpack, nylon tote and Senreve Aria from *preluxz* . Nylon tote was used during the day for sightseeing and easily fit everything i needed. Evenings or when i didn't want to lug too much I used the Aria. It can be worn as belt bag, sling or clutch. I have chain strap to swap in if i need fancy look too.

I also have an authentic Chanel double flap bag (purchased in a Chanel boutique). This is a black patent leather bag with bronze hardware and a delicate bronze shoulder chain. 80 I didn't mind until I saw a replica that looked as good as my original, haha. People have been buying fakes for decades. This is a fake food industry, fake medicine, fake perfume. If you want to buy the genuine product, then buy it. If not, then don't. Some people have collections of originals, reproductions, and imitations. 10,000+ is ridiculous for any package. No leather is as fine or as precious. I saw a man tearing open handbags, belts and SLGs.
