They dropped the money... they had to switch to those exo suit and animation style (easier to animate that traditionnal stuff) because they put the bulk of the budget on the first episodes, japanese animation does this all the time, well, a lot of time, they want to catch your attention with a really good first impression.

They won't but the fight was still good, better than expected it was fast not drawn out covered some bases. The one before was also good, had shadow clone manipulation even had a good clean explanation for it, other short guy has fire style. Higan is fast and uses swords in his similar to style outside the suit, basically good variety.

This anime started really strong for me. The fight scenes were amazing and the animation is top tier. I love the concept of Higan fighting in hoodie and a mask against his opponents using modern technology. Having contrast in their ways of fighting is more interesting to me. Classic ninja ways vs modern ninja ways. I thought it's going to be like that for the entire season. My interest for this anime really dropped when Ninja suits were introduced. Lost the feeling of excitement for every upcoming episodes since then but overall good anime.

9:10 that guy's death was just a waste. Why would you bother spending the animation budget just for him to be killed when the MC had zero problem hacking up the cyborg dude in the hospital. Anime's like these are decent eye candy, but the story and characters are so far removed from the action that I couldn't care less besides admiring the animation. The plot is honestly pretty weak. American action movies do this plot with every male action actor they have on payroll. 10/10 animation and style, but let's not pretend we care about the characters...
