+Xiang (Fortehlolz) I read her before there was such a hype. She is a good author. But when i saw the trailers for the first movies about the books i noped out. And ever since i have been disappointed about how all that hype made her less of an author in the eyes of the public. At least Rowling is a bad author, but Meyer didnt deserve it. She had some fun ideas and she wrote well, and even though i dont like romance i liked her writing style enough to get hooked.

+Hebl von Heblowitz How maky books have you read in your life? If you knew as many fantasy books as me you would realise that before her there were other awesome authors that wrote about the same subject way better an more gripping but just weren't advertised that well. She came at the right time to the right place, but she doesnt deserve the hype. She is average. Very good for children at the beginning, then she tried to evolve and became average for adults. But the hype carried on. Try and read Brent Weeks if you want to read about living characters and awesome storyline. And JRR Tolkien layed the foundation for modern fantasy, but I do think his writing style is a little to tiring for me. I haven't read 50 shades cuz i dont like romance, but are you honestly comparing the founder of modern fantasy with a romance author who got advertised into a hype?

+xXsolar99Xx BEST IDEA EVER. I started reading but stopped because it was pretty inappropriate at times and I didn't like the language *sigh* I got to Book 4 or 5... Shame I had to stop, it was really nice always having something to read.

My stepdad's plays the audiobooks in the car whenever he drives me to my piano lessons, and I always end up hearing different parts- makes for a really confusing mashup of characters and scenes

Wheel of Time is PG13 at worst, mostly just PG. If you can't read Wheel of Time, I'm not sure you can read anything good.

It would have been hilarious if he had busted out a pair of scriptures and started reading Jacob 5 AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN! It'd make them wanna say "Brother, adieu!" every single time!

No just imagine if they read nephi, "I nephi, being born of goodly parents...." Something like that

And read all the way through! "And there were wars, and rumors of wars..." "And my father dwelt in a tent..." "Gotta catch 'em all..." Wait a minute...

You know what the scariest thing about Twilight is? It's made people think crazy things, Here's a real life example... Halloween 2009: While at a YSA Dance I saw a guy who's costume I couldn't figure out, (basically he just wore regular clothes) so I asked him what he was, he said he was a vampire. There must have been a profound look of confusion on my face as he quickly added that he was a Twilight vampire and that they are very subtle. Some how we ended up in a conversation about the book series at the end of which he told me that vampires as portrayed in the books are actually symbolic of Christ and everlasting life.
