That majestic building at 5:47 is the majestic Taj Hotel. Unfortunately it was under a terrorist attack on 26 November 2008 referred as 26/11. Many civilians and policemen lost their lives. It was renovated later on and stands as the strongest remark of our strong resilience. 😊

So i tell you an important thing about "mumbai" There is a goddess in maharashtra and her name is "MUMBA" devi and people reffered her as their mother So "AAi" means mother in marathi languange of maharashtra So they named this city as "MUMBA,Aai" That's where the origin of name "MUMBAI" starts 👍🤗🇮🇳🚩🕉️❤️

The Big building you didn't know about in front of Gateway of India is The Taj Mahal Palace which was attacked by Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terror group in 2008 they entered through the harbour almost the same place where you were standing. They entered the hotel with automatic rifles, taking many hostages. In the attack 167 people were killed including many foreigners.

Cities like this don't represent India. The majority of Indians (65%) live in villages and if you can visit any I really recommend, especially when there are festivals going on. It's where the country's heart is, so vibrant. You see huge groups of women / girls with long flowing hair and colourful sparkling clothes, dancing in unison. It's like a never ending sea of beauty and colours, their clothes make everywhere you look seem like a kaleidoscope. I hope you get to experience it as it's a real spectacle 💕.

I would like to mention something which can be useful to all foreigners. Indians don't have a concept for smalltalk or informal greetings(verbal or nonverbal) with strangers unlike the western cultures. So, don't feel guilty if you don't say hi/hello or smile or greet to every passerby who seems to be looking towards you. On the other hand, there is a culture of what I call bigtalk here, which is more genuine and can happen between any strangers if one party shows a little interest in the other, it may go on to becoming a full on conversation and sometimes create friendships or relationships for even life, which may be intruding to people akin to western culture. So, yeah, unless you are comfortable in bigtalk avoid the smalltalk here, because smalltalk would be considered as a cue for initiating bigtalk or if they are not interested, they would find it awkward, but then again, Indians understand this cultural difference with the westerners and don't mind. By now you might have realized, the ethos here is to make any guests life as much convenient as possible.
