Nice to see you turn an unproductive paddle trip into a positive dinner trip; using the same baits that didn't work a little further out. I hope some people see how you didn't get discouraged and give up but tried something else with what you had (bait) and had a great outcome.

I do the same way on Walleye, cut from underside, saves the knife edge an such. I also flip over before fully taking the first fillet side off so bone structure angle on board..then flip and finish second side.. just my take on walleye anyways, lot of people jack up the second side, don't ask me how I know.... Good show, as always!

I enjoy your videos. Reminds me of my younger days, living and fishing in Florida. Quite nostalgic. Recommend you harvest the wings/throat of fish like that snook. Its a great piece of meat; grill, roast, smoke or fry. Helps get the most out of the resource. Great tips on the gear and methods. Please keep the good stuff coming!

Thanks for the upload 👍🏻 In the description you say your Salt X rod is 9’6”, the only ones I can find are 8’6”, can you suggest where to find the 9’6”?
Joey, I've always been a big fan of your vids and your fishing enthusiasm. But you're starting to sound like an infomercial for Tsunami. I'm sure you're now sponsored by them, but geeze. But I have to admit that the Tsunami Pro Grade 100% Fluorocarbon leader material on those thin large arbor spools has been my favorite fluorocarbon for the past 4yrs now, compares to every other FC I've used.

They're people I like, they make a product I like that I'm proud to stand behind. I'll keep the fishing action real and top notch, but you'll be hearing much more about Tsunami. I'll do my best to keep it interesting and not like an infomercial.

The physical size of the Sara 6000 is smaller than the Tsunami 5000, thus a little lighter. Both are excellent reels but physical size can not be trusted by just going off the numbers. Daiwa numbers are all over the place as far as sizes are concerned!

Have you performed any maintenance on your Salt X? A reviewer of the reel posted a video and a concern of theirs was the size of the anti-reverse bearing. Have you had any issues? There haven’t been many people post videos of the reel in action, especially on fish of any size.

Cheapish- shimano ultegra ci4+ Mid- tsunami 6000/4000 High end- van staal vs150/200 There are others out there of course but I have all of these and surf fish artificial only from New Jersey to Florida. Really depends on lure size and what your fishing for and of course location.

It is definitely a little more on the expensive side. I also have a lot of reals I use that are way more budget-friendly. Check out the tsunami Shield. I've tested this real and put it through a lot of abuse. The Shield is only about $100USD.
