I think it sounds powerful because the singer focuses on that aspect when she sings that song. I've listened to many German (Disney) songs growing up and I don't think that it is the language that makes a song sound powerful/sad/gentle/angry/... but the voice of the singer.

Polish is hard, my mom sent us to a polish school on Saturdays, and needless to say we got pissed and rebelled for 2 years. Not that I hate polish, we ARE polish. But school on weekends sounds pretty shitty. Beside that experience, I love the language and wish to learn it freely someday. I study french on Duolingo. Very good app, give it a try.

And When thy DO buy up companies or franchises it's because they intent to make more movies out of it. They would never buy an old movie and then just leave it. French Cinderella sounds so sweet, and German Belle's tone is darker which makes her sound more like an intellectual than the overly cutesy tone that the English Belle had. Cantonese Mulan really sounds shy here, which I think fits her personality most. I love your list and agree with most of these definitely, though I do still prefer English Pocahontas as the German one really doesn't sound as passionate or powerful as I'd feel Pocahontas should
