I think it sounds powerful because the singer focuses on that aspect when she sings that song. I've listened to many German (Disney) songs growing up and I don't think that it is the language that makes a song sound powerful/sad/gentle/angry/... but the voice of the singer.

Laura Grabowski powerfull doesn't mean positive. The german language isn't the most pretty language. Sure is powerful because of how easy it is to make it sound like you are screaming. And i had to take it for 4 years and do final exams for them. On paper i can speak german. Very impiropwr german since a german has seen our books. But still german

Fatimir Murstakif okay so the Native Americans lived in America kind of minding their own business until the English, French, and Spanish decided to claim the land for their own countries. They colonized everything. That’s pretty much it. Germany really has nothing to do with Native Americans so that’s the irony.

Oliva Alexandra Lol why would Disney buy the rights to a non successful movie. When they buy the rights to other movies it's almost always more than one movie. Like the Star Wars franchise or Marvel. And When thy DO buy up companies or franchises it's because they intent to make more movies out of it. They would never buy an old movie and then just leave it. And even if they did buy Anastasia she wouldn't be a Disney princess. Disney did not create her. Sorry for long post lol, didn't mean to be rude.

French Cinderella sounds so sweet, and German Belle's tone is darker which makes her sound more like an intellectual than the overly cutesy tone that the English Belle had. Cantonese Mulan really sounds shy here, which I think fits her personality most. I love your list and agree with most of these definitely, though I do still prefer English Pocahontas as the German one really doesn't sound as passionate or powerful as I'd feel Pocahontas should

Yeah I'm bilingual and I can switch between the two languages as if they were the same and sometimes I can't tell if I'm listening to one or the other cuz I don't feel like I speak two different languages. But with languages I'm not fluent in I need to do a mental switch.
