Do all flannel bedding run hot? I live in south Florida and Although I like the idea of flannel I have always been in a very hot sleeper which is why I avoid comforters and use throw blankets light weight and breathable. I’m wondering if I could go lighter and just use flannel to sleep instead.

I like being warm but I hate sweating when I sleep. I use a flannel blanket right now in July, basically a mid-heavyweight sheet. And it's perfect for the summer. Because it's relatively thin compared to a normal blanket or comforter and it's 100% cotton so it breathes well.
