Tide (laundry soap in general) actually suspends, and holds dirt, for a brief period of time. That is why, you never want to soak dirty clothes, once you add detergent, and you do not see a wash cycle, more than 16-18 minutes . If you let clothes or floors sit and soak with detergent on them, the dirt will be released from the soap and adhere, back to floor or clothes. We own an appliance repair company, and I thought, I knew how to clean until I married my husband lol. The techs actually receive training on this kind of stuff, to properly instruct customers, on how to best use their machines.

I would worry about using this method on Luxury Vinyl Plank. I found out the hard way to ONLY use warm water and white vinegar on them. When you use any kind of cleaning product, it gets ingrained into the LVP, and when you mop, you're basically just spreading the dirt around. My feet were turning black despite me mopping all the time. I had a professional cleaning lady come in and even she couldn't get my floors clean. I ended up tasking my very strong step-son to use a sturdy brush and clean them that way. I called the installers and was told that you can't use any type of cleaning product. @@beckydanielshome2801 I don't think I could destroy my floors any worse than they've been with not being sealed when we moved in 13 years ago and now with 4 kids. Since I prefer the scent, and can't get gain Mr clean here anymore, and am safe with this soap. I'll give it a go as an equal substitute and see what happens lol

I’m gonna have to try this one. I use a cup of vinegar and a cup of don dish soap that’s safe for animals I think it says to wash my tub and it has never looked cleaner. And I live in a house that will be 100 years old along with the old tub in four years.

Tide liquid is too concentrated and clingy. . . better to use Tide Powder. If you have water softening system use Tide Powder, less than 1 Tsp or increase water in bucket. I use less so my rinsing will be less. Less=more in this instance.
