I really love your videos. While I found them for my cats, who watch in fascination, I think I get the most benefit. So peaceful and good for the soul. Though in this video, I wish I knew what (unseen) bird was making the extraordinary sounds, and I don’t mean the cuckoo. It’s almost ghostly! An owl of some kind? Many thanks again for your nature videos. ❤

I belive you mean a common woodpigeon. Their sound resembles an owl and they're quite loud. It's very interesting, they were here in summer and I heard and saw them flying around, but they never visited our food selection. I speculate, that the fields that surround us, had their favourite crops this year. Thank you for tuning in and I am very pleased to hear that our videos bring joy to you and your feline friends🤗

what are the beautiful backround distant birds that sing in this video so enchanting
@RedSquirrelStudios Жыл бұрын
Some of the bird sounds I've identified belong to a woodpigeon, common crane, whooper swan, common cuckoo, song trush + probably birds you see in this video. Others I don't know, because they don't come out from the forest🤭 Thanks for watching!

You are an empath sweet girl. It's hard to take things like that. I know I'm the same way. I haven't been to Seattle in a while but the last time I was there was a shootout in the KFC parking lot. We had to duck down in KFC.😮

Do I hear cranes in the background? Or are they farm geese? Then there is a "hooting" call. Is it an owl? Or maybe that is a mourning dove?
@RedSquirrelStudios10 ай бұрын
Yes to common cranes in the background and the hooting belongs to wood pigeons. Nice identifications from your part👍

@@RedSquirrelStudios i live in Fairbanks Alaska and we have sandhill cranes visit every summer! I love them!

Wow! Greetings to freezing Alaska from freezing Finlnad🤗 Keep your toes warm! Oh, and I love cranes too and their sounds, echoing across the fields on quiet summer evening!

@@RedSquirrelStudios i have a question about the aurora. I rarely see it anymore. Do you see much? I last saw it on the 1st and 2nd of january but it is often dim and only lasts about 30 mins to an hour. When I moved to Fairbanks 40 years ago the aurora covered the entire sky and was so bright and beautiful almost every night! It has drastically decreased in the last 10 years. I have my suspicions for why but i want to hear what you know first. Izm glad i connected with you because i have been wanting to talk to someone else around the arctic circle!
@RedSquirrelStudios10 ай бұрын
Very interesting to learn about dissapearing auroras. Unfortunately I cannot tell you about them as the arctic circle is very far from us. We live in South-West part of Finland, where aurora is not very common. Fun fact: Finland is lo-o-o-ong ... 1,160 km (720.8 miles) from north to south😉

My husband and I and our baby enjoy watching your videos. We normally turn one on for the day and let it run. It's such nice ambiance. We are curious what country or state you film?

We are from Finland as all our videos😉 Thank you for tuning in!

Don't set your clock to that cuckoo clock in the back ground! It is having problems with it's time zones or has some jet lag!
