I have a highly energetic Belgian Malinois puppy and I figured out early on that there are only two ways to settle her down when she gets very excited. One of them is putting HD bird videos on the tv. Beautiful video and bought me enough calm puppy time to take a nap, so thank you! 😂 Cheers and happy holidays!

Is that a coconut up at the top right of screen? This feeding station is the best I have ever seen!

It's a coconut shell, filled with nutritious fat feed mix for winter birds. I had lot of fun building this nut bar. Glad you like it, thank you🙏😍

This looks so pretty the way you have it set up. May I ask if you are in the North West?. I do remember seeing the black-capped chickadees with yellow bellies when I visited my brother in Washington State. They are my favorite little bird and so very friendly. I can walk out to my yard here in CT, and hand-feed mine. When I'm in the yard during winter or on the deck, they will land on my head and shoulders. It is awesome! I showed this to my cat, she sat and looked so confused, lol. But I thoroughly enjoy it myself. I'm a squirrel lover too, and I love feeding my little guys too. I have one red squirrel and many greys. All but one or two only come by once in and while, but the others I believe are siblings. Thank you for the entertainment!!

Great Channel! Our cats love this too! How many minutes did it take the humans to figure out what the hidden message was at the bottom of the nut pile? Also note: I attempted to share on Facebook and it your link was Fact Checked. I reported to them and told them that they were nuts!!! What the Fudge???

Thank you so much for your awesome comment and your feedback 😍 Thats an interesting question about the message under the nut pile😃 Anybody?

I'd like to set up something similar in my own back yard. Are those wooden cups and have they been secured to the wooden rail somehow? I've just moved here a short time ago. So far I've seen numerous birds, squirrels, rabbits and even a fox and a possum. So far just some seeds, citrus and suet. But I just love your set up especially with the evergreens that I have in my yard too. So I guess my greatest question lies about those cups that you use. Are they wood and are they attached? TYVM for sharing this video! ☺️✌️❤️🦋🙏
@RedSquirrelStudios2 жыл бұрын
Oh, wow! So much wildlife you have already! Yes, the wooden cups are secured with little screws, otherwise the squirrels would leave with them 🤣 They are clever little buggers🤗❤️🐿️ Have fun with your wildlife adventures in your back yard. It's awesome and the best thing in life to have 🐇🐿️🦜😺
@trudy2852 жыл бұрын
@@RedSquirrelStudios TYVM for your help! Did you just happen to find those little wooden chalices somewhere? I absolutely love them. Because there is so much wildlife found here, in the burbs even, I'm hesitant to put up a feeding station too close to the house and garage. So things are kinda spread out right now. But I want to change that. The fruits I put way out back just before my woods. The suet hanging closer to be able to get to when the snow gets deep. When we had our first hard freeze, the rabbits stripped off all of the leaves and rosehips on two of my rose bushes the night before I was planning to harvest those hips and wrap up the bushes. Hopefully all of the roses make it through winter. I'll know better on what to do next year! 😉 The possum was old and died in my neighbors yard. The fox I only saw once. He was chasing a squirrel and a rabbit at the same time across my backyard! He eventually bit off half of the squirrel's tail! I have to wonder if it's tail grew back because I haven't seen that squirrel for months. When trying to start clearing a bit of the woods, noticed bark missing on a couple of the trees. So perhaps I have some random deer too. As far as birds go, most are gone for the winter. But I see woodpeckers, wrens, chickadees, crows on a regular basis. One male cardinal yesterday. A bunch of hunting hawks this past summer. It will be interesting to see who shows up if I set up an actual feeding station. The more I think about it, I just might set ALL of this feeding station back by the front of the woods. And then set up a cheap camera for myself. Do you have your feeding station far from your house to avoid intruders ? Thank You again for your beautiful videos and helping me figure this out! I think my little pup is possibly calming down just a little bit watching your active squirrels instead of barking at the glass door wanting to chase them! Fingers crossed on that! 🤞 I don't really have any one in mind just yet to build a feeding station. But as I'm still unpacking here, since I spent so much time already with landscaping, I'm hoping to find in my unpacked stash some usable items to create something very nice for the wildlife. Your set up is absolutely gorgeous. I'm not sure if I'm capable of replicating. But I do want to create something special. I grew up close to the Adirondack mountains. So this experience has been met with great anticipation! Ha! Keep Smiling And Enjoy Your Journey! Thanks! 🤗✌️❤️🦋🙏

That was a very entertaining reading! Thank you, Trudy😍 Glad you find my videos inspirational and your little pup calms down too🤞I've been collecting those wooden cups since summer from flea markets. Kind of a national sport here in Finland 🤣 Feeding stations further from the house is always a good idea! I'm sure you can set up something awesome for you and your forest friends. Take ideas and make it your own 🤗🐇🦜❤️🐿️

@@RedSquirrelStudios Finland! And it's a national sport ! Too Cute! 🥰 I Super appreciate your correspondence! Thank You! I'm in the semi rural area of Madison Wisconsin in the US. Kinda smack dab in the middle of the country. West of most of the Great Lakes, thank goodness. East of such the winters are usually worse where I grew up. I'm having fun with this planning. Watched a few of your other posts. The fallen logs buffet or tree stumps as simpler feeding posts, I'm sure I can handle! 😂 Thanks! 🙌

This has got to be one of the most heartwarming threads I've ever read on KZbin. You both have such wonder right on your doorstep. I'm so jealous! I do have birds and foxes visit but no squirrels sadly. My kitten loved this video and she was still sitting watching when I got back from shopping.. lol Happy Holidays from Scotland xx 🏴🥂🎄
