Man I really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. I'm just getting started in the land clearing work and ran across your channel when I was searching for a fix for a issue I was having with my bobcat. I really like that you think outside the box. Thank you for the info on the teeth and grinder. What were you referring to with killing the head on your machine? I just purchased a 299 XE and I have just been letting the head spool down on its own when I stop mulching. It usually takes about a minute for the drum to stop spooling. I have been trying to get in a habit of staying in the machine until it stops for safety reasons.

Why put carbides on the outside? I’ve heard of it before but not sure the reason.

How many times can you sharpen your head with those 3M sanding disc? I feel like I only get one good sharpening before they start to die off and lose the abrasion

Yeah about once and it's time for another $5 pad for sure! Ain't cheap until you factor in your time.
