The Kakuno with a grey cap and grey barrel looks subtle. Definitely an option to consider for those who think the starkly different cap and barrel colors look funky and want something that looks more muted.

The pen is definitely great. However, the added cost of a converter (almost half the price of the pen) is a downer, considering the pen itself is not exactly cheap. Although cartridges are available at different prices, a converter is always the better option for any fountain pen.

@@yash_0740 yup. Best quality Converter of any pen below 1000 rs, very good feed unit that can handle both dry and wet inks without any problem and the Smoothest writing nib. Too smooth actually. 0 feedback. You can't feel that you are actually writing with it. So it's a love or hate situation. Some people who don't like feedback actually buy a Jinhao 992 pen just to get the nib and fit it in their pen. In the case of fountain pens, never think that like the rest of areas 'china' means low quality. That would be 'Indian' in this scenario. They take their fountain pens way more seriously than we do. Penbbs, moonman, even jinhao etc are really good, writing experience wise. Jinhao is better nib wise than even Indian luxor made parker nibs. Although they do use planned obsolescence in their pen body just like Luxor Parker does with their lower end models like vector so as to not go out of business in this consumeristic age.

@@yash_0740 yup. Best fountain pen you can buy around 200 rs. Nib is soo smooth there is 0 feedback.. Which is a positive or negative according to one's preference. Also a top quality converter and feed unit that can handle both dry and wet inks with ease. The chinese are way more serious than us on fountain pens.

For me , the triangular grip is irritating as you can't rotate the pen even a little. Pilot metropolitan is overall the best among all in that range . I also have lamy safari green savanna version , BUT the pen is so light that I don't get any feedback from the nib and paper unlike the pilot metropolitan which is perfectly balanced and feels more premium just because of the weight.

Ig if you have enough budget go for pilot ink which cost's around 300/- for 30 ml, but if your budget is tight then go for Daytone (40/- for 60 ml) or Sulekha ( 100/- for 60 ml)
