This video has sold me on the idea of going to this beach. Did you get to rent gear to snorkel at the beach or did you take gear with you? What else is there to do at this beach?

I rented the snorkel gear at a dive shop downtown, I think on the Punda side. There's not much else to do at the beach besides relax, jump off the cliff, and snorkel. The main draw is that it's sandy and free, which is unlike most of the other beaches in Curacao. -Brian

How is the driving around Curacao? We are going in September from a cruise so if we decided to come visit this beach we will have to rent a car.

Driving in Curacao is the same as driving in the US or Canada. No crazy drivers and directional signage is really good. They use a couple European signs (for no parking, one way, etc) but if you just look them up before you go, you'll be good (if not, you can figure most of them out, we did). What other islands are you going to on your cruise?

You need a pair of water shoes to get over the stones. $1 to access the toilet behind bars/lock and money to get a shaded spot. Water is fantastic. Super clean beach.

How far from the port is this beach? Taxi cost?

It's about a 45-minute drive from Willemstad. The beach is near Westpunt. It's crazy expensive in a taxi - about $80-$100 USD one way. It'd be way cheaper to just rent a car. -Brian

Yeah it is realy deep, a few meter at the end, i have jumped there a lot. I didn't know you could jump at grote knip, how deep is the water?

Where we jumped, probably about 3 meters. Next time I'm back in Curacao, I'll try that Playa Forti jump. That'll be fun!
