BEST FREE CAMP SO FAR - VICTORIAN HIGH COUNTRY- LOST $600 FULLTIME TRAVELLERS - RAM 3500 - EVOLVE RV

THIS WEEK ON DNA.
WE HIT A CRACKING FREE CAMP (THE BEST WE HAVE HAD YET)
THANKS TO COLLEEN AND NORM FROM WODONGA.
MAN, WHAT A FREE CAMP RIGHT ON THE WATERS EDGE GREEN GRASS AND BEAUTIFUL WEATHER.
WE HAVE A FEW COOK UPS THAT WE SHARE.
I TAKE ON THE TASK OF COOKING THE ROAST PORK WHILE COLLEEN AND NORM DO THE VEGGIES.
IT WAS GREAT TO GET TO SEE A PART OF THE COUNTRY WE HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE.
THE VICTORIAN HIGH COUNTRY IS SO BEAUTIFUL LUSH GREEN GRASS AND FRESH RUNNING WATER FOR AS FAR AS YOU CAN SEE.
NORM AND COLLEEN SHOW US AROUND THE AREA INCLUDING A GREAT BREWERY IN MITTA MITTA THEY BREW THEIR OWN BEER AND HAVE A GREAT MENU.
THERE ARE SO MANY FREE CAMPS ALONG THE RIVEER THROUGH THIS AREA YOU WONT BE DISSAPPOINTED.
THE NEXT DAY I HAD TO SET ASIDE FOR EDITING- BUT IT WAS OUR TURN TO SUPPLY DINNER.
THIS TIME I COOKED THE DINNER AND NORM DONE THE DAMPER.
NIK MADE DESSERT; IT WAS GOOD BUT NOT AS GOOD AS JOHNNIES.
THE NEXT DAY WAS PACK UP DAY FOR NORM AND COLLEEN THEY HAD TO GO BACK TO WODONGA.
THAT SAME DAY-OLD MATE FROM UP THE END SHIFTED OUT OF CAMP TOO.
WHICH LEFT US THE BEST SPOT, SO WE SHIFTED 100M UP TO THE END OF THE CAMPGROUND.
THIS IS WHERE I SHGOW YOU HOW WE WERE GETTING WATER OUT OF THE CREEK A STARLINK HACK I DONE
AND OF COURSE OUR $600 COST- I FLEW THE DRONE ACROSS THE RIVER TRYING TO GET A GOOD PAN OF THE RIVER AND OUR CAMPSITE.
BUT YES, MY SKILLS AREN'T THAT GOOD AND IT GOT STUCK IN A TREE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RIVER WITH NO WAY OF GETTING IT BACK.
SO, THE NEXT DAY WE TAKE A DRIVE UP TO DARTMOUTH DAM.
WE SHOW YOU THE SIZE OF THE WATER WAY AND WHERE ALL THE WATER IS COMING FROM RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR CAMP.
THEN WE HEAD INTO THE TOWN OF MITTA MITTA FOR SOME LUNCH WE HAD PACKED RIGHT ON THE RIVER.
NIK CHECKS OUT THE LOCAL BIRD LIFE AND THE BEAUTIFUL RIVER SYSTEM BEFORE WE HIT THE PUB FOR A QUICK DRINK.
AFTER GETTING BACK TO THE CAMP TO CHECK ON INDEE I LOOK TO SEE IF THE DRONE IS STILL IN THE TREE.
AND IT IS!
WE LEAVE THIS EPISODE HERE AFTER COMING TO TERMS THAT THE DRONE IS GONE FOREVER.

Well done you just got me to subscribe as soon as I seen the camp oven and damper yes I carry a little petrol pump with me every where I go and just drop it in the river or what ever I’m camping on and the miss’s dose the washing it’s a great idea but you’re little 12v pump is a little pissa I’ll think about that for a while hope to catch up on the road one day cheers tha ol caretaker 👍🍻🇦🇺

Eskdale has a IGA store for groceries, only 5 kms away. The Mitta Mitta brewery and the Mitta pub have good meals.

Yep we went to all of those We were just saying in the town of Mitta Mitta only had a few places to choose from. We had a meal at the brewery and a drink at the pub we went to iga for supplies. And also stopped at a few more towns on the way back to wangaratta. Cheers Dave and Nik 👍🍻🇦🇺

Yeah indee was off her food for a bit but all good now. The drone is a good tool for footage. But I'm not the best when it comes to flying it I'm very jerky with my motions. I was trying to make it fly with out the jerky motion - I should of done it on dry land I mighten of crashed it into the tree 😆🤣😂 The coffee machine is just the one from home just takes up a bit of space in the van. Surprisingly I do it's been great at the best I have had 22amps from it. but you do need to keep shifting it to get that. But most of the time I'm getting at 12 -15 amps. Hard to say on a daily basis it will all depend on cloud cover and time of year. Hope that helps. Cheers Dave and Nik 👍🍻🇦🇺
