Xenon uses something called pterodactyl, and its a great tool, it runs minecraft servers using docker containers, so they are isolated from themselves

So the xenon server is online 24/7 and all you need to do (or your friend) is /join (servername). Yes you can add a whitelist to let only some people join your server!
