Alejandro, one of the best videos ever!!! You have a great way of showing the important things while holding a person's interest in the content. I love the way you go back and forth with the before/after examples, while keeping them very short. Other videos just play too long of an example and I can easily get fatigued by that. Kudos! Great video producer!!! Plus, your genuineness and kind heart come through. You are now my favorite Reaper tutorial go-to source!!! THANK YOU!!!

Alejandro your channel is really good! Starting to dive deeper into Reaper thanks to you. Maybe one thing that I think could help others as well. When you are showing before/after examples, try not to talk between them. This makes for much easier recognition. With delay and reverb here it's easy but in your other videos when you were doing some slight compression or eq it's not so hearable right away and this would help a lot. What I would do is something like: "I'll now switch between the effect on and off and you'll see the indicator on the screen (text, label, red LED on the effect itself,...)". This also makes it great if you want to really check if you hear what the effect is doing by just closing your eyes and really listening only. At least that's how I do it with other videos as well. If you hear someone saying "on/off" or see it on the screen your mind immediately tells you there's something different. But when you have your eyes closed it's way harder to distinguish between the changes, especially if they are subtle. Those are my 2 cents but make no mistake your channel rocks! Keep the videos coming 🙂

Tukan plugins are such an amazing addition to Reaper's stock plugins, all of that is possible because of JSFX. You should do videos on other JSFX plugins in the future as well, such as all the Saike Plugins.

Amazing sounding plugins! I've basically just installed the pack and fiddled a bit with two or three of them, but maaan those reverbs are GOOD. Re: flangers - yep, they are a bugger. I've found that subtlety is vital: low depth, slow speed, keep the mix low.

Gracias!

Havent tried the EQ as you demonstrated it. Love the Lexicon 2, its modelled as well as all the other offerings. The tape delay is one of my favorites, it behaves like a tape delay for better or worse. I am scratching my head with the delay machine, placing my taps, again pretty accurate, and easier than Reapers stock delay.

Your mixes sound great so I was wondering what monitors you are using for mixing? Thanks!
@Reapertips10 ай бұрын
Hello! Ive been using the bx5 m-audio monitors since I was 14 (for over 14 years!). I should really replace them soon but nothing beats really knowing your system. The monitor itself doesn't matter that much, what matters most is knowing how things are supposed to sound in the environment you are in and properly treating it if possible. Once you listen to a lot of music with your monitors, you kinda calibrate your brain with how things are supposed to sound.
@musicmaestrodj10 ай бұрын
@@Reapertips I hear you on that! I use Alesis M1Active 520 monitors and love them! I tried to "upgrade" to a pair of Kali LP6V2 due to the hype but they sounded terrible in comparison to so I returned them.

Nice video -- you got a subscriber out of it! I learned about Sphinx. I get it -- no nose. The 'range' control on the dynamic EQ actually sets the maximum gain reduction -- not the amount, per se. The 'sensitivity' acts like a ratio.

Can't see a problem with the title, apart from you thinking it means something that it doesn't say. A polite answer might have been. Yes they are for Reaper only... You didn't answer why an installer is required..... so is it just data collection? most You Tubers are looking for traffic... Sorry to bother your algorithm 🤔 won't happen again.
@Reapertips Жыл бұрын
@@roscius6204 Happy to elaborate on the installer thing! Installer is just convenience. Keeps the plugins up to date. The installer not only lets you install plugins from Tukan. It lets you install many things that the REAPER community has made, such as scripts, effects, themes, etc. The installer was made by the community. It's open source and supported by the community. The installer is not tracking your data.
